NOT COMMAND BRAND - Rips the paint off the wall!
This product is deceiving because the packaging looks like 3M Command brand. I followed the directions to the letter and, when I attempted to pull the frame off the wall at an angle as required, it ripped the paint and top layer off dry wall off the wall in all four spots! What a waste of money.

Great when you figure them out
The directions fail to tell you there are two different parts. It says to put two together that adhere to each other. Well on top row of strips they did adhere to each other so I hung some (and they are hanging still very well) However when I took out bottom row of the strips they definitely weren't going to stick together. I immediately saw how they were supposed to fit together. However I wasted some parts by not knowing there were two different parts.

Good for audio foam
I used this adhere acoustic foam tiles in my home recording studio. So far so good.

They DO NOT WORK
The pieces do not stick together at all. Go with the 3M Command ones, there's a reason these are cheaper.

Does it work? Yes. Is it a knockoff? Also yes.
In my many years on Amazon, I've seen no shortage of off-brand products mimicking their more-famous inspiration. In many cases, they perform equally well, and it's done with a sly nod and a wink. "Hey, you want to do the thing, but you want to save some money? Here you go." I can respect what they're trying to do.That being said, I have never seen a product toe the line so hard without getting slapped with a copyright lawsuit as these picture hanging strips do, while at the same time costing the same as the 3M Command strips they're imitating while also being a worse product. The box - which tellingly has no manufacturer information anywhere on it and the only identifying information came from the Amazon warehouse label - uses the same colors and fonts as the 3M product, and even copies the product name and "Damage-Free Hanging / Holds Strongly - Removes Cleanly" tagline wholesale. The directions on the back of the box even just copy the pictures from the 3M instructions, as you can see with a comparison photo I attached where I compare a genuine 3M instruction leaflet to the instructions on this box. Somewhat hilariously, they edited out the "Command" iconography from one of their pictures but failed to realize that their product doesn't click together like the Command strips do (these strips are simple hook & loop Velcro-like material). On their own merits, these strips do okay. The hook-and-loop holds well enough, though there is some wiggle that you don't get with the Command strips. The adhesive backing does seem to behave similarly to 3M's, holding about as well and doing the same stretchy thing when you remove it to not damage the wall behind it.I wouldn't judge this product so harshly if there was a significant cost saving involved; after all, that's why products like this exist. But there isn't. At the time of this writing, this 20-pair pack of knockoffs costs $14. The genuine 3M Command strips can be had as or a 28-pair pack (16 large, 12 medium) for just over $18 .Given all that, there's no way I can really recommend these. Yes, they work, but they do a worse job for the same price as the alternative.
