Xmas cookies for Spring?
I have been covetting stand mixers for several years and stumbled across this special on Amazon. I read some reviews and most seemed good so I took the plunge and bought this one. It’s a great size, I would probably call it on the smaller side size wise which is the main reason why I have not purchased one prior to this.It works great! I’m super impressed & should have bought one years ago! I’ve had a sugar cookie recipe I try to make every Christmas. Unfortunately the mix is usually dry/not quite mixed enough but I can already tell this mixer will be perfect! It’s strong which is great because I’ve started baking a lot lately and I’m saving my wrists from early onset carpal tunnel!!My 20 year old hand mixer is by cuisinart and a workhorse! This stand mixer seems to have the same strength or motor or horsepower so I purchased a second one for our lake house and we have used it there too!The kids are all on lean diets and use the mixer for their Kodiak pancakes & waffles. Guess they don’t realize the syrup they’re using can pack on the pounds too!ANYWAY! Great mixer, excellent price, and we’re all very happy with the stand mixer!!

Worth the price, works really well
I have had this mixer for over a month now and it is really good, I've made a few batches of Ice cream, I've made cookies and a cake so far and I am happy I made this purchase, it is fantastic for small batch items and for small families, it is small, but quite powerful and does an excellent job at mixing things. I would recommend buying it if you enjoy baking as a hobby, also the bigger 6.5qt will be better if you bake a lot more. I will hopefully purchase the bigger 6.5qt in the future if i decide to bake more, however if you live outside the u.s. and pay per weight when your package arrives, please consider that the boxes and packaging do add on a little more weight, and it is a bit heavier than the 7 lbs. specified in the description.

OK, so it's not a Kitchenaid....
TL;DR - If you are just replacing a hand mixer, this is a lead pipe cinch for 5/5. For a 1-2 person apartment this is perfectly cromulent. Beyond that ymmv.OK. Kitchenaid is the gold standard most know and would relate to. Lets just agree to that. This is smaller (somewhat, it isn't a mini) and lighter (much !) than the KA. It is superficially just as attractive as the KA - no obvious fit/finish deficiencies. Bright rich colors and a mix of chrome and brushed stainless. Check. The base of the bowl is plastic, attached to the steel mixing bowl, but it is NOT flimsy, and of course it only has to hold the bowl in place. I don't know if the plastic is dishwasher safe, but I hand wash everything anyway. The controls are basic but simple. Dial up the speed. Push button to raise or drop the power head into the bowl. The implements - paddle, whisk, and dough hook are cast aluminum with a plastic base. If you are familiar with KA, they attach the same way. The splatter shield attaches by rubber grip to the motor head housing as opposed to the bowl. Because everything about this unit is debiggified, the slot it not wide, so you can add a spoon at a time, and pour liquids with a measuring cup, but not dump dry mix from a bowl (unless you take some stiff paper and make a funnel/chute. But this is a small batch mixer, so...I have only used this for my primary purpose - mixing bread dough. We like to make our own steamed buns, in a recipe that makes 8 buns. We do this 1-2 times a week.I will say what we use it for comes out great, and avoids a lot of elbow grease for kneading the dough. However, you may be alarmed that the motor does groan a little once the dough stiffens up - which is actually a sign that the dough is too stiff. Just be careful to only add enough flour during the kneading stage so that the dough just comes away from the bowl. Too much past this point and the unit starts laboring. There has been no sign of burning up the motor or breakage, but I think prolonged overloading would shorten the lifespan. I haven't actually SEEN that yet, though. If you are using this to mix cookie dough, cake batter, or whip up some cream or meringue, I am quite certain the unit it up to that level of effort indefinitely. There is no provision for other motor attachments like grinders, pasta rollers, sausage stuffers and the like. I think that ties to the idea that the motor is not all that powerful. But hey, the thing was $50, not $500 Within its limitations, I certainly am satisfied with the purchase. If the motor was a bit more powerful I would give it 5 stars, but I do have a concern still about how long this will last UNDER MY USE CASE. Even then, with its limitations acknowledged, and for the price, it really is 5/5.

It's a great gift for your mother or your wife or girlfriend.
It really looks good it really works well it's a great gift for my mother. And I'm hoping that the item will last for a long time because I've seen it displayed at Fairgrounds. And it's easy to use and you could store it really well. Just the problem is that the driver of Amazon didn't show up when it was supposed to be delivered and a nice representative the next day delivered it today. On the 8th it was supposed to be here.
