Mitzvah Family Magnetic Switch & Outlet Cover for Flat Modern Switches

I have Hue lights all over my house. I control them by my Amazon Echo. No mater how much I remind myself not to turn off the lights at the switch, I just kept doing it without thinking. Of course that canceled whatever dimming setting I had them on. In my office I had a ugly bunch of post-it notes bristling out over the wall switch, to make sure I didn't turn off computer equipment that was plugged into one of those old fashioned switches that are supposed to control a lamp.These work well. The magnets are strong. I wish I had found them years ago. They would have been great to keep me from turning on the kitchen sink disposal by accident.

It somewhat works for what I need it for. Unfortunately I had issues making it sit flush on the rocker switch. Overall, people in the house know "not to touch it" with the cover on it. It just doesn't sit flush. Somewhat disappointing for the price of it. Photos attached.

We have several light switches that CAN NOT be flipped without shutting power off to outlets that need to be always on. We'd been covering them with packing tape hoping to stop people from clicking them. It didn't work. Then I found these! These literally take 1 second to install and do the job I needed done easily and without making my switch banks look stupid. I'm very pleased and highly recommend these for anyone in need of switch covers.

Product does exactly what I need it to do - prevent guests from accidentally turning off my Ring Floodlight cam, as the switch is right next to my patio switch!Would be perfect if the shape were just a plain rectangle though, this shape is fine, but looks a little dated against my decor. Only a personal preference, so I didn’t take away any stars. Also, shipping was SO slow, despite having prime - it got re-routed by USPS a couple times, so ended up being almost 2 weeks, but not the seller’s fault, so didn’t remove any stars for that.

Well, we have three Decora switches in the kitchen above the counter. The one closest to the sink is the disposal and the one furthest away is the ceiling spots. The center one is the dishwasher. I like to keep it off until needed. This is our vacation house and we don't run it that often. I also don't want power to the unit when we aren't there. I made sort of a band to cover the switch, but the looks of it did not make wifey to happy. Then I found this gadget. Looks great and because of the magnets you just pull it away to flip the switch. The cover allows the switch to be in either position.When I turn the dishwasher on, I flip the cover so it is held just by the bottom screw of the switch. That way I remember to shut it off before we leave and recover it. Like I said, 'Fills a very specific and unique need.'

So I've been automating our home over time, and one of the compromises I've made is that in some circumstances I prefer the ease of using smart bulbs instead of the hassle of replacing/rewiring wall switches. This works great EXCEPT I have a house full of people who don't really track the details of what's been done, and have a tendency to flip off light switches when they leave an area, rendering the bulb automation useless.I finally broke down and said to myself, self, either figure out a way to prevent the switch-offs, or just bite the bullet and move to an all-switch solution and abandon smart bulbs altogether. I figured my search for a solution would be difficult, and I envisioned the most likely outcome being me deciding to 3D print some kind of covers because I doubted I'd find anything that fit my requirements.Boy, was I wrong. These things are fantastic. First of all, they're reasonably priced. Second, they attach magnetically to the cover place screws, meaning easy-on/easy-off, so if/when we actually need to use a switch it's a trivial matter to pop this cover off, use the switch, and pop it back on.If I had one suggested improvement it's that I'd prefer stronger magnets, but so far they've stayed in place during daily use, although I can see some inadvertent dislocations happening in the future. But, given how inexpensive they are I'm not dinging the review stars for this, just constructive feedback to the seller/manufacturer.

I have a house full of Philips Hue lights, and one of the annoying things has been family members accidentally switching off the lights using the old light switches.I bought a bunch of these magnetic switch covers and they are awesome. Highly recommend them.They are a great design because you can easily just take them off for the odd time that you actually want to use the physical light switch - other options look more inconvenient.These are great little devices that pair great with the philips hue lights & switches.

J'ai remplacé la presque majorité de mes ampoules normales par des ampoules Philip Hue. Le problème, c'est qu'il faut laisser l'interrupteur à On pour que les ampoules intelligentes continuent leur travail. Et pour éviter que quelqu'un les fermes par inadvertense, on place des collants dessus et ce n'est pas très esthétique.Avec ces plaques aimantés, elles se positionnent tout seul par dessus l'interrupteur. Il suffit alors de coller par-dessus l'interrupteur intelligent de Philip Hue et voilà, la travail est joué et beau.

These are fit for the purpose and easy to snap over a switch. There is some colour variation within the set of 6 - some of them are definitely off-white, whereas others are white and match the plastic of our switch covers. The product took longer than estimated to arrive (ships by mail) but was delivered in good condition apart from the colour differences.

I was surprised at how strong the magnet was and how well it holds onto the light switch. I liked it so much, I bought three more.

This is a must have if you have any smart lights in your home. I hate when people come in my home and start flipping switches...if they turn off the switch, your smart lights won't work. This will definitely prevent them from pressing anything...awesome!
