Bought this for my nephew who is obsessed with trucks or anything with wheels! He’s always pushing his cars around the house so I thought I’d get him a surprise and buy him his first remote control truck!! Right now I see that dump trucks, construction vehicles are the trend for little boys, which is why I ordered this one rather than a basic car or truck!He was so excited when he saw it and begged me to open it... I gave in and did.We put batteries and showed him how to “drive” it, he was as happy as a pig in mud!!!Quality is nice, comparable to other ce I’ve seen as a child! It’s not little tykes but it is definitely do able! Seems durable he’s been crashing into everything since we got it. Lol hence he can’t drive it everyday. He pushes it manually around and it works good like that too!The remote worked fine! He hasn’t quite figured out how to steer it yet since we only let him do it once in awhile.So far it has the same batteries in for 2 weeks now and I haven’t had to change then out. However like I said he doesn’t play with it everyday maybe once every 2 days when I can take him out in the patio!This is a good RC for a toddler or young child 2-6 years old) as it doesn’t go too fast, it’s just the right speed for him and he’s 2 and a half!The range for it I cannot be exactly be sure since our patio only goes about 10 feet out, and it reaches the end, I’m sure it can go further than that if I tried. I’m ok with only 10 feet since he’s young, i wouldn’t want it to go too far if a toddler is handling it, unless it’s in a closed patio.Anyhow I would be comfortable recommending this rc truck!! Dump trucks are the in thing and it works fine so far! What little boy right now wouldn’t be happy to get a dump truck that moves on it’s own?If anything shall happen I’ll update this review.

Awesome little truck. It isn’t that big but it is pretty cool. Decent speed. Goes over moderate off-road and plush carpet terrain. Battery lasts about an hour before you have to put it on the charger. Carries more than you might think, maybe 3 or 4 pounds. Dumps the bed via remote control. My 3 year old loves it so much I have to hide it. I bought an extra battery and the optional wall charger. It is a weird yellow color, not Caterpillar yellow but more like Gulden’s Mustard. Mine came with a bent axel so I am exchanging it. But even with that flaw I have to give it 5 stars. Really great toy for $40. My son is going to play with it for 400 hours.*** Lowering to 4 Stars. After about 30 hours of play one of the motors has become unresponsive. I have to kick it to get it moving. I guess I got my money’s worth for the price/hours of play.

Dump truck is very cool and definitely worth the money I did get a remote that wasnt turning on and the seller contacted me asking how it was working before I could write them. The battery post was a little short and the seller had a new one sent out to me within a few days. Great toy for sure.

This is an old design, I've seen this exact style dumptruck for sale since before my son was born 5 years ago. I figured by the time he was old enough to do some RC construction vehicles there'd be something much cooler available for the price.Now, this does the trick well enough I suppose but there's a few design issues that kinda make me scratch my head given how popular good RC construction vehicles could/should be with little kids.Cons:1: It's too tall for all the RC loaders and Excavators in it's price range - you gotta make a ramp for diggers to drive up to be able to get stuff in the bed of the truck which is silly to me given how long these things have been around and could have been improved.2: It's skid steer with zero suspension and very little ground clearance- that's a bit annoying because you get stuck often and if you're playing in sand or dirt like you'll probably end up doing, the skid steering action can make the area even more rutted out and uneven for the trucks. I'd prefer something like these cheap Rock Crawlers as a chassis and just geared down for more control.3: the Bed doesn't go high enough to achieve a really good steep dumping angle. Playing in a sandbox with moist sand you gotta drive the truck up a ramp to get a better angle so stuff actually falls out.4: The dump controls aren't actually up or down, they do the same thing really - just make the bed go up and down over and over so you're really just timing when you let go of the buttons to go all the way up or all the way down. Frustrating for my 5 year old.Pros:1: it's pretty cheap and definitely can hold up to dirt and sand2: battery life is awesome3: looks great.

Great value for the money, I am not sure I would roll it down the mountain side as you see in videos depicting this very nice unit, but it is sturdy. The battery life between charges is not the best, but it may be because I have had it running on carpeted areas that do slow it down.

The remote works flawlessly! Otherwise a zero rating would be appropriate!This toy is worthless anywhere except inside on a flat bare floor! With only 1/4" of ground clearance it is constantly stuck! It will NOT work in a sandbox, on grass or on a bare floor trying to "climb" on to a rug or carpet.I would have returned it but once my nephew got my hands on it he would give it up but I would NEVER buy another one!

This is a great product. It has been pushed, sat on, slung, loaded with golf balls and dumped them without a problem. I was surprised with how it handled the abuse it received the first couple of days. However, the run time of this unit could be better... 15 to 20 minutes is all you can expect unloaded... loaded and outside less than that. I gave it five stars based on the first couple of days. One more thing you have to remove the battery pack from the unit to recharge it there is no external port.
