Light, great under makeup
I found the description to be appropriate, this is a light cream for sensitive skin. I think this lotion would be good for people with normal to dry skin for daily use, especially for sensitive skin or rosacea. My skin is particularly dry though, and it does feel somewhat moisturized after use, but not really supple. I did find this was great for use with makeup, and a nice surprise in the ingredients backed up the claims that this really is a barrier building powerhouse. The scent is very light, a typical cream scent that doesn't linger. The cream isn't thick, it goes on easy but isn't runny. The pore clogging rating is fairly typical for a light cream, with four ingredients falling between 1-2 on a 0-5 scale (5 being high). I haven't had issues and it's something I do have to watch closely. My ingredient checker found no ingredients that are known to be common irritants. I see four beneficial ingredients my checker marks as 'goodies' (as opposed to 'superstars'). That seemed a little low for the current price of $24 for this size. I wasn't all that impressed right out of the box, but I was curious if there was something important I was missing... there definitely was.- Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil is an emollient, it locks in moisture, great for dry skin, maybe not so much for oily and acne prone skin because of how well it does the job (it's not pore clogging though).- Aloe needs no introduction.- Madecassoside is a soothing antioxidant and promotes wound healing.- Sorbitan Olivate is an emulsifyer, but combined with Cetearyl Alcohol it has a really nice variety of benefits - moisturizing, barrier repairing, and soothing just to start - really what this cream is all about. We'll call that five goodies since it's a twofer. These two are so nice together that someone gave it a trade name and the site I use has a whole page dedicated to it. This twofer is well-earned, evidence based, and a lot of products are now offering this beneficial combo.I'm impressed. I have rosacea and that barrier needs work. I've been thinking I'll use dab on my cheeks where it tends to act up, just as a boost in addition to my regular moisturizer. Or maybe I'll wait till it flares and try it just to see how well this combo works.I think this is a good moisturizer, deserving of a five star rating. However, you're like me and feel empathy when you see photos of cracked desert sands, this one might fall just a bit short as a primary daily moisturizer - but it works pretty great under makeup.Ingredients:Water, Propanediol, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Pentylene Glycol, Polyglyceryl-6 Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Nymphaea Alba Flower Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Butylene Glycol, Madecassoside, Carbomer, Cetyl Palmitate, Polyglyceryl-6 Behenate, Sorbitan Olivate, Sorbitan Palmitate, Tromethamine

Emollient without being gross under makeup. Good as a barrier over other skincare.
I have kind of mixed feelings on this one. I've had a couple small micro breakouts using it, but most of the time it seems alright? I really wish I knew which component caused this. I'd rate a solid five if I hadn't ruled out other causes. It IS very lightweight, the ingredients overall are pretty impressive and minimal. I like that it's PH balanced. The second ingredient is propanediol, which is my true love for a moisturizer in the evening (over my skincare). Cetearyl alcohol isn't the "bad guy" alcohol, so I'm fine with it's use here. Other ingredients are super soothing. Macadamia ternifolia seed oil, aloe, madecassoside (biologically active compound of centella asiatica) are all great ingredients.I did... dono this to the bathroom for general household use (I use it some nights) where my roommate has had access to it and he's had ZERO issues with the product like I've had. I think it's one of those "some people experience" situations. In this instance this is his basic daily driver for the moment, seems to enjoy it as part of his routine. It did wear great under makeup as a sole lightweight moisturizer, and does really provide a nice skincare barrier as a layer before using a sleeping mask to lock in HA products. I think for the price it's worth a shot if you're looking for a minimal and lightweight product with a lot of versatility.

Lightweight and pricey
This cream is easy to spread and easily soaks into my face - I apply it after toner. It has next to zero scent (honestly, I can't discern any scent at all). I don't need to use very much to cover my whole face, but maybe I should be using more because it also feels like I need to remoisturize a few hours later.I live in the midwest and it's winter and extremely dry here. I will probably put this tube away and save it for traveling to humid locations, or for next summer when it's less dry here. It could be perfect for those conditions, but I can only rate it by how it works in these dry conditions right now. This is a really cute tube and perfect for traveling, since it's only 1.35oz. The downside is that it's only 1.35oz and for the price, that's a bit expensive!
