These are good brushes, I use them for oil painting, these brushes after wash off the glue, the hair are soft but not too soft, it carries oil well and create enough resistance for oil marks. Good brushes for the price. I recommend for oil painters.Updates: the brushes are good, as good as my expensive brushes. I used them painting still life with oil. Carries oil well, very pleased. Including a photo painted with these brushes.

I love these brushes. I’m not an experienced oil painter but have bought a lot of brushes both expensive and inexpensive and these brushes are just so perfect for me. They are soft but not too soft for painting. There hasn’t been any issues in loosing bristles. I am definitely buying more.

Overall worked well for applying glaze to ceramics. Some brushes do shed bristles.

The package arrived in a padded envelope with no exterior damage. However, after carefully opening the envelope, I saw what looks like a cut on the paintbrushes' plastic packaging. It looks like it was made by a knife of some kind, and the paintbrush handles were also damaged from the cut in the packaging.I haven't painted with the brushes yet, though I did remove the protective glue from one with some water. The bristles are soft and seem to hold a nice amount of water. Other than the slight damage, they appear as advertised. I won't return them because returning anything on Amazon is a hassle I don't have time for.I will update once I've used them a bit more. I'd give them a better review but I'm fairly sure they were shipped after the damage occured, not during shipment.Update: Seller immediately resolved my issue. I've used the brushes and they are very good quality. Will definitely buy again, both the product and from this seller.

Just starting to use these for watercolors and they are handling and performing fine. Good balance with the long handles. Bristles hold a lot of paint; good "snap." Some of the hairs look like they are fraying/ragged edges SLIGHTLY when dry, but have a good line when wet. Used them for painting feathers of black and white chickens and feathers looked realistic, so a win!

These red sable brushes arrived when promised and I have used them for portraits and commissioned works. They have held the paint and released pigment steadily. The brushes performed in a superior fashion and I am very pleased with their performance.

I haven't used these yet. They look to be decent brushes. There was a excessive amount of glue in them, took a long time to wash out and lost a several hairs when washing: but its a paint brush, they lose hairs. I keep tweezers nearby for that reason The handles are nice and long and appear sturdy. I look forward to using them. Are they Red Sable? I don't know but they are very soft. I am happy with them for the price I spent.
