The Twin Kangaroo Treasure Hunt, a Gay Parenting Story Paperback – April 17, 2013

This was perfect for our family which has two dads and twin kids (currently 4 years old). The kids loved seeing a family that matches theirs and it is just the right amount of information—it uses the terms “sperm,” “egg donor,” and “surrogate,” without going into deep detail on the specifics. It normalizes the conversation while still leaving room for the parents to share only what details their child is ready for.

It's better than nothing but not great. Dads have lots of sperm and no eggs. While true was a bit hard to describe to 3 year olds.

My 3 year old twin girls love this book and it is easy for them to understand how they came into this world. Can’t speak more highly of this book.

The book tells the story of surrogacy in combination with donor eggs in a very sweet but also detailed way.
