This is very strong duct tape. Adhesive is too strong to remove from delicate items
This is very strong stuff. Yes, if enough force is applied, it will tear in straight lines (parallel to or across the length). I imagine it could be used to patch tent floors, but I have not used it for this. I don't know how waterproof it is. But if you're looking for strong duct tape with powerful adhesive, go for it. Residue on removal is not really a problem but you have to tug pretty hard to get this stuff off, so be careful or avoid this if you plan to remove the tape from delicate items. If you used this as masking tape for painting or whatever, it's gonna strip the paint off the wall.

THE STRONGEST OF THE STRONG!
04/28/2021 Update:Just got yet another roll of this tape. I still love it because it is so strong! The adhesive holds like no other so it is perfect for working on and around boats etc.Still the best out there.11/23/2016 Update:I just got another roll of this tape. It's the best.Original Review:This is THE tape to use when you need a strong adhesion duct tape. The cloth is thick and durable and the glue is among the best.If you only need a temporary hold this would not be your best choice because after the glue sets up it can be quite difficult to pull. But for a permanent hold/seal Gorilla takes the prize.Definitely worth the little extra price.ThanksAU//(~_~)\\

It's holding my car together.
The Gorilla Glue tape on my car's front bumper and right fender has withstood the 2013-14 Minnesota winter without any peeling, splitting, or fraying. It's good stuff.UPDATE - May 26, 2015: The tape's still holding strong. Added more tape to seal off the broken moonroof to stop wind and moisture from getting in. Not afraid to run the Hyundai through an automatic car wash when it gets dirty.UPDATE - August 19, 2015: It's been over a year and the Gorilla Glue tape on my bumper and fender is still going strong, however, I had to re-do some of the tape around the Elantra's moonroof because the corners were starting to roll up (from the wind and sun?). It was sporadically raining when I replaced two long strips of the tape; it's still super sticky but surfaces must be COMPLETELY DRY to get a good seal. Not the tape's fault that it was rainingFINAL UPDATE - January 12, 2016: I sold the Hyundai... for another Hyundai. The Gorilla Glue tape was still holding. :PThe tape is amazing stuff.

Amazing tape!
Incredibly sticky. I love it.Whatever you tape up is gonna hold. It's not going anywhere. Because when you put this tape down....it's gonna stick. It's wide. It's thick. It's a little challenging to get it off the roll but that's because it's so strong...so sticky. This is exactly what I was looking for and I'm so happy with it!

Duct tape on steroids! Awesome
I used this material to tape up a leather beater sofa and it has lasted over 6 months now, no peeling up. I also used it to secure my weed barrier in my garden. It holds up in rain, snow, sun and foot traffic. It's been about 2 months it's been down and no issues. I highly recommend this if you want something permanently taped. I will update on the weed barrier application this summer. One of the questions for the review was how easy it is to remove... It doesn't remove. It just tears up whatever you stuck it too when you try.

SUPER STRONG DUCT TAPE : I USE IT TO REPAIR EVERYTHING
PROBLEM NUMBER 1 : I accidentally hit the gas instead of the break and put two large holes in the drywall in the back wall of my garage. I got a strong piece of plywood and cut it to the size of the holes. Then I taped the plywood over the holes with GORILLA DUCT TAPE. Then I painted the plywood and GORILLA DUCT TAPE to match the color of my garage wall. PROBLEM SOLVED : It's been a year and the GORILLA DUCT TAPE is strong and is still holding the plywood securely in place.PROBLEM NUMBER 2 : The tile rack in my guest bathroom was put on cheaply by the prior owner. The tile rack came loose and fell off the wall leaving a 3" by 5" hole in the wall. I didn't need the tile rack so instead of fixing the hole with drywall; I covered the hole with GORILLA DUCT TAPE. Then I painted the area to match the color of my bathroom wall. PROBLEM SOLVED : The painted GORILLA DUCT TAPE is strong and has covered the hole nicely; and matches the color of the wall.PROBLEM NUMBER 3 : I removed the old caulking from around the base of the toilet in my guest bathroom. Then I put in new caulking around the base of the toilet. Then I put BLACK GORILLA DUCT TAPE over the caulking around the base of the toilet to cover the caulking and make the area stronger. PROBLEM SOLVED : The BLACK GORILLA DUCT covers the caulking nicely and makes the caulking completely resistant to being damaged. Also, the BLACK GORILLA DUCT TAPE around the base of my toilet gives a unique appearance on my white porcelain toilet.

Strong as hell
Great product, but you need to be VERY strong to pull it off the roll. Also, I think it's a good idea to wear latex gloves when you work with this; I got the adhesive on my fingers when I was wrestling to get this off the roll, and the adhesive was really difficult to get off my skin...finally, after lots of attempts, used lots of hand cream and lots of rubbing and it came off, but now none of my electronics recognizes my fingerprint! That being said, it's excellent super strong bonding tape.
