Dynamic Systems for Everyone: Understanding How Our World Works
S**7
Good for late high school, community college intro course on systems theory and application.
I liked this book and learned a great deal from it. As my title suggests, it is an entry-level book for students.I found that I could not adequately make a system picture/drawing with rules when I finished the book, however. This book should have some practical exercises to accompany it.One strength I found was a number of recommendations for computer programs to draw and label systems; I purchased one of these, based on this book.I got a lot from the chapters on modeling, optimizing, and the use of decentralized (agent-based) complex models. While he does talk briefly an efficiency and robustness of models, however, I did not readily appreciate how to measure these in actual models or situations.

Well done!
This is a well rounded and well informed introduction to system analysis techniques.
