I now use brown rice syrup as just about the only sweetener in my cooking. I haven't stopped maple syrup or barley malt completely, but brown rice syrup I use 90% of the time at least. It is my favorite, and it used to be available in all Whole Foods Stores and many other health food stores and supermarkets. I am very disappointed that it is no longer being sold in any of the stores I shop at, but I am glad I can still order it on line here at Amazon. I have been cooking much more lately and have been using it quite a bit. It is also in many of the recipes in my cookbooks I am writing.

I love this as a honey and sweetener substitute! It definitely has a slight nutty aftertaste but I still enjoy putting it on top of my pancakes and using it in my sweet bread. It’s a bit stronger than honey imo. My husband loves honey and has a different opinion about it. He thinks it’s got a slight chemical like taste and more of a weird bitter sweet like not at all like honey.

I love the brown rice syrup, it's very, very sweet but that means I don't have to use a lot!

This is the 3rd time I have ordered this. The syrup tastes great! However, I’m very disappointed they arrived in glass jars with a lid, AGAIN! The 1st order last year was in a plastic bottle with a squirt top. Last time they came in glass jars with lids. After thinking I ordered the wrong one, I looked closely before reordering, and it clearly shows a squirt top. That’s NOT what arrived. A glass jar with just a lid is so much messier than having a squirt top. Change this back!!

I was looking for this in my local grocery store and couldn't find it.Online all I could find were huge bottles, which I didn't need. The size is perfect and it's great in some recipes where I don't need much.Will definitely buy this again when I run out of the bottle I purchased.
