Broke easily, no help from Fanny Wang. UPDATE: They sent me new ones.
I initially enjoyed these headphones. They sound decent, they look good, and they're a better value than other, similar headphones.Or so I thought. A month or two after buying them, the headband broke as I was removing them. I wasn't being especially rough with them, just bending them enough to take them off my head...and the band cracked all the way through, rendering them useless.I submitted a support request through Fanny Wang's website. I heard nothing for a few days, until finally I received an email asking me to provide a proof of purchase. I did so, at which point the support rep issued me an RMA number and an address to which she wanted me to ship the headphones. It wasn't explained to me what was going to happen, but I assumed I'd be issued a new set of headphones.No such luck. I shipped the broken headphones, with a printout of the email conversation along with the RMA number (inside the box and on the shipping label)...and heard nothing. Then more nothing. Then more nothing. I sent another support request through their website (this is the ONLY means which they provide to request help) and heard nothing. I replied to the email I initially received form the support rep...nothing. I even sent a message to Fanny Wang's facebook page...ignored.It's been months now and I have received no word. They have my broken headphones and my money and I have nothing.UPDATE: After I submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, Fanny Wang finally got in touch and sent me new headphones. I've upgraded my rating from one to three stars accordingly.

Beats by dr dre alternative
I actually bought these for a friend who wanted stylish cool looking headphones (like the beats) but still wouldnt put a serious dent in his pockets, So i did a bit of browsing and i found these.Firstly i am not a audiophile, but i have quite a bit of experience when it come to the department. Listening to these headphones after about 40 hours of burn time I can say that the sound quality is pretty decent its what you would expect from stylish headphones like this. More effort put into the presentation than the actual item, but these still sound nice, Compared to the beats the sound pretty similar ( more defined lower end). But i think the Wangs are a bit more aggressive.Just got these so i cant say much about durability other than they are made of hard plastic. The reason these headphones dont get a 5 star in my book is because they are not very comfortable, other than that great buy

Buyer Beware! Fanny Wang Customer Service is horrible.
I liked these headphones when I bought them, but after owning them for only a few months, the screwplate at the hinge broke and a few days later the head band completely split just above the hinge. They are completely unusable, after light use over a short period of time.I contacted the seller and got a prompt reply, suggesting I contact the manufacturer for a refund/replacement. I did so, but have heard nothing from Fanny Wang after 4 attempts to contact them (plus a post on their FB page). Inexcusable.Update - August 2012: I never heard from Fanny Wang, not even an acknowledment. However, I did contact the seller again (HIDEF Lifestyle) and they were EXTREMELY helpful. They accepted my return and provided a refund on behalf of the manufacturer. I would most definitely purchase from HIDEF again but will never purchase another Fanny Wang product.

Sound quality very nice..but not good qualty
I always read the reviews on amazon before I buy..I also try and leave a review of products that work or don't work..as far as sound and quality of sound these headphones are very good..another PLUS is the fact I can wear my hearing aid with these headphones with out feedback..helps a lot...The only negative I have is that they broke after 4 uses..I am of the older generation and I take very good care of my things..where they latch to fold ..the left side screws either came out or broke..I have duct tape around them so they hold together so it doesn't pull the wires out but it no longer adjusts on that side..So as far as quality of sound..very good..as far as quality of holding up..I'd say poor..

Fannie Wang - On Ear 1000
I bought two pair. One for me and one for my daughter.She had a pair that was stolen and we bought Beats to replace them. That was an epic fail.Excuse the pun, but Beats don't compete.Owned beats before. They quite frankly fell apart. The hinge mechanism is crap.Contrast that with the Fannie Wang earphones which use a metal mechanism.I also like the sound compared to beats.Nothing bad to say about Fannie Wang.I discovered them by accident which is how my daughter got the first pair.
