Third time's the charm
This was third type of hydration "device" I have ever bought, and I am finally very happy with my purchase!I first bought a normal water bottle type belt by the brand "Ultimate" that did not stay in place and jostled around when I ran. I could cinch it really tight to my waist, but not only did I look ridiculous that way, but it was also very uncomfortable and interfered with my breathing. The second "device" I bought was a handheld water bottle by the brand "Fuel Belt". I had read positive reviews about palm-holders/hand-held bottles and how they feel natural while running. Not quite! Let me tell you how annoying they are on your long runs, when you just want to have relaxed arms, instead of sweaty palms from holding onto the nylon fabric.I was going to give up and just deal with the hand-held bottle when I saw a full-page ad in my Runner's World magazine about this Nathan Speed 2R waist pack. Searching around online, most retailers were $50, but somehow Amazon was offering it for $25. I figured I'd give it a try - it looked pretty good and all the reviews were positive.I tried it out for the first time today on a 6-mile run and loved it. It did take a little getting used to in terms of how low I wanted to wear it and how tight I should pull the velcro, but by the middle of my run, everything was comfortable and in place, and I can honestly say I am done shopping for a hydration device for runs. Some things to know: I am a 5'5" woman and normally wear size 4 bottoms. Another reviewer around my size had mentioned she bought a Medium so I did the same, and I am happy with the size selection. I wound up wearing this belt just below my hip bones and it was very comfortable and didn't move around. It was very easy getting the water bottles out during my run, too (I wore the bottles towards the back and the pouch in front). The pouch is NOT very useful at all - I fastened my key to the clip, that's all. My cell phone and ID did not feel secure in it, so I wore my Nike arm pouch as well.If you are looking to carry a lot of liquid, this belt is lacking, with only two small bottles, but other than that, I think it is a fantastic item.

Works ok but bottles bounce.
I was looking for a light small belt to hold enough water to take gels on long runs and wet my throat when it's 100 degrees. Living in Tucson it's 100 degrees all summer! The pack was light but the bouncing of the bottles was just to annoying. I only ran 6 miles but I couldn't imagine a 16-18 mile run with them. I even tried only using one bottle and turning it so the bottle was on my hip but the belt would just move. It may be the pace I run. I don't anyone makes a carrier for runners. A Jogger will probably love this product.

Bottles are poisonous!
I really wanted to like this product. It fit well (it rides on your hips, not your waist, so size up accordingly), and the two 8oz containers are great for half marathons and longer runs. Unfortunately, the bottles are made of the cheapest plastic imaginable which causes two serious problems:1. The water in the bottles is tainted by the taste/smell of the cheap plastic. I thoroughly washed the bottles in hot and cold water with two different kinds of soaps, and even soaked them in vinegar. Nothing could rid them of the toxic plastic smell, and after water sits in them for a few minutes, the water acquires a similar awful taste.2. The bottles leak constantly when running. It just a drip here and there but after an hour it adds up. I stopped every few blocks to adjust the caps, tighten/loosen them, etc. No luck. They just leak. Also the pouch is not big enough to fit an iPhone (or iPod touch I assume) with earplugs connected - it's about 1/2 an inch too short. Seems like a silly oversight.Unless you want whatever chemicals are used in the plastic making process leaching into your water and then poisoning you while you run, I'd steer clear of this.

Perfect for 5-15 mile runs
I have tried many types of hydration devices while training for my first half marathon. I've tried the handheld water bottles (the sloshing and switching between hands drove me crazy), as well as a backpack (bounced all over the place). This by far has been the easiest and least annoying to use. I love the quick release of the bottles and the valve that allows you to get a quick drink without having to squeeze the bottle or spend breathing energy sucking the liquid out. I use Gu Brew or Gatorade in my flasks and the 16 oz amount is perfect for a 1-2 hour run, even in higher temperatures. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I wish it held more in the pouch. My iphone AND gels didn't fit. Also, the first time I used it, I put it over a pair of running tights and a performance t-shirt. The materials were slippery and I found myself adjusting the belt down over my hips multiple times as I ran. It rode up around my waist and bunched up my shirt. A better choice of less-slippy clothing solved this problem. The pack stayed down much better, and I didn't have to adjust it as much.It does run small. I am 5'8" and 130 lbs female and wear a size 4-6. I ordered a small which when I first tried it on, I thought it would be too small. But, with some stretching and getting it in the right location on my hips it fit very snug, but is supposed to, so that it doesn't ride up or bounce. My husband is 6'2" and 180 lbs and uses a medium. Again, fits very snug on him but has to so the belt doesn't move around while running.Overall a great product and I would recommend it to anyone who runs 5-15 miles on their training runs.
