Very nice pen
This is a beautiful pen.You came with absolutely no directions, and as a novice, I got really frustrated. I went to their website, which was no help. Finally googled, and after several YouTube videos, I figured it out.Once accomplished, it has a nice weight and smooth stroke

Love the shine.
I love the color of this pen when I opened it I was immediately in love with the shine and the weight. I would like the top to fit on the top of the pen for added length when writing and so I don’t miss place it. Writes well good flow of ink evenly distributed. Great but for the price.

Amazing Fountain Pen for the Price!!!
This Fountain Pen, for the Price, is one of the Best Pens I've Had — works Great w/ a 'Refillable Ink Adapter,' (One of those, & a Bottle of Ink is SO MUCH Better than Ink Cartridges!) For a Fountain Pen, especially of Such Reasonable Priced, this thing Writes Better than Almost Any Other Fountain Pen I've ever Owned, esp. using the 'Ink Adapter's rather than Cartridges! Plus, the Bonus "Notebook Clip Pen Holder" is Freaking SOOO Convenient, don't know why Nobody's Made them before this (I've never seen anything like it, before!)

Great beginner fountain pen
This is my first fountain pen and I have been really enjoying it. It took a couple days to really get the hang of it. At first the writing was a bit streaky, but I don't know if that was user error, or just getting the ink flowing well. After a couple weeks, the ink flows smoothly and reliably. I have had no issues with leaking. I think I might have preferred a fine tip, but this one writes very nicely and I still love it. The pen itself is a nice weight, although I prefer to write I posted. It also looks very nice. Overall, I'd say this is a great pen and I like that it came with ink cartridges.

I like my Jinhoa
UPDATE #2 coming soon: Michael Dryden sent me a black version of this pen. I believe they have changed some production techniques to ensure better quality. I am currently testing the pen out, but I do see some initial improvements. More to come.UPDATE: I am dropping my review from 3 stars to 1. I purchased this pen less than a month ago. As you can see from the second photo, the gold band with the threads has detached from the barrel. I will be sending this back and I will not be purchasing any other Dryden pens.I am really surprised at how many 5-star ratings this pen received. This is my second fountain pen. My first was the Jinhoa X750. The one thing the Dryden has going for it is its weight. I like my Jinhoa, but it is a heavy pen, and if I am practicing my penmanship with long exercises, my hand starts getting sore. The Dryden has a good weight for longer writing sessions. But my praise for the Dryden begins and ends there. So what do I not like about the Dryden? Let's start with something irrelevant to how the pen performs, but what is, I believe, a sign of the overall quality. The felt bag in which the pen is delivered has the name of the company printed on it. Well, it actually has "Dnyden" printed on it. They didn't even spell their own name correctly. I have to wonder about a company who would allow a product to go out with their own name misspelled.Next is the cap. It will not stay on the end of the pen. When I write I have to set it aside. Every other pen I have owned (most of which were not fountain pens admittedly), the cap stays on the end of the pen when I write. Poor quality or design I do not know. Either way, it's a part of an overall poor product.I'm concerned about the gold finish also. It looks cheap. I fully expect it to fade over time. A sign of cheap materials and production. Now on to what is really important, how does it write? Actually, it's not bad. I do seem to see a bit more ink on the page than with my Jinhoa. But I'm not entirely certain whether that's because of the pen or the fact that I have two different inks in them. Either way, if someone were asking me for a recommendation, I likely would not recommend the Dryden Luxury. There are sub-$10 pens that perform better.

Step back to Fonder Times
I had fountain pens that I loved to use back in the 1970's and this one reallyfits the bill .

It's okay
It's okay for a beginner to use and learn but for someone who already knows it's better to buy a higher quality one.

This pen makes writing effortless and enjoyable again
I haven't used a fountain pen for the last 40 years but had fond memories of using one to do calligraphy and write letters - something people don't do much of anymore. Over those years, I found myself drawn to gel or rollerball pens because they had the smoothness in writing that I remember from my days using a fountain pen. But while they start out very smoothly, they lose that feel as the ink gets lower so I recently decided that I wanted to once again try a fountain pen. But not knowing whether or not I had embellished my memories of the pleasure of writing with one, I didn't want to spend a fortune and find that the experience wasn't what I remembered. So I did a fair amount of research on current day fountain pens. I ultimately settled on this pen. I have had it for just over a week and I have not been disappointed in any way. This pen is comfortable to use, the ink flows flawlessly and the writing is effortless and pleasurable. The experience is just as I remember. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase one as a gift for anyone who loves to write.Update 5/16/19While I still like this pen for the reasons that I wrote above, I now have to say that it has begun to leak consistently and I find that almost every time I use it I get ink all over my fingers. It appears to me that the ink is leaking out of the area where the nib enters the barrel which is just above where you grip the pen to write. If I wipe it off before I write it is fine but when I cap it and put it in my pocket, the next time open it and start to write, there is ink on the area you grip which I assume gravity pulled down from the nib while it was in my pocket. I don't know if this is just my pen or it is a design issue. Sadly, I have placed the pen in my drawer and will have to look for an alternative that doesn't leak
