Michelin France Map 721 (Maps/Country (Michelin))

I’m planning an upcoming driving trip in France. I needed a map showing me the bigger picture, showing what types of roads, and showing some smaller towns. I just couldn’t get this on any online maps. They didn’t give me perspective. Thank goodness Michelin still makes their maps and Amazon sells them! Perfect for my needs! Now when I get to France I will certainly use GPS to navigate town to town. But my Michelin map will be right with me for additional information and sanity check.

Hands down my favorite maps. Only way I travel. No GPS that only gives you a utilitarian way from one intersection to another. Get the wider picture, see the picturesque roads, extend that drive a little further. Go from A to B, but via C, J, P and Y. Durable and easy to fold/unfold too.

For the basic traveler; Natl Geo was too detail which I am sure is better for map specialist

Easy to read, with plenty of detail of surrounding countries, in order to have context.

It took a hot minute to figure out the surrounding countries aren’t in English “Belgique”, “Italian”. I wish country borders were more clear, but it’s maybe a good exercise to highlight them myself

It is so large I had to hang it on the wall in a hallway in order to really study it. Fun!

フランスの一枚モノ全国道路地図です。 登録情報の寸法は折りたたみ時のもので、広げると縦１ｍ横１.５ｍってところ。 細かい地名が結構載っていて、フランスの勉強にも役立ちます。 不満点は紙質がペラい事。本来は携帯用なのだろうけど とてもじゃないが繰り返しの開閉や、屋外での使用に耐え得る代物とは思えません。 サイズもサイズですから壁に貼って楽しむのがベターですが、それでもすぐボロボロになりそうな予感… 貼り直しの度にヒヤヒヤします。

When driving in a foreign country. I need the WHOLE picture which the GPS can’t provide in a readable fashion. Plus every car make has a different system that some times may result cumbersome to operate (I have tested several)…Nothing like a good old MAP and Michelin is the BEST!

This is a good general map of France. I should have gotten a more detailed map of where I was staying, because my road wasn't listed. Fortunately, my GPS knew where my road was.
