I bought Nike Metcon 4's and the laces they came with were 54" long and were way too long even when tied in a double knot, they would make sounds during my workouts or hit me in the leg. I bought these laces in the 39" and they are perfect!! I love them! Color was a perfect match to the navy blue od my shoes too! Picture on the right are the new ones purchased on Amazon. One knots ends don't drag it hit anything.

It's ALWAYS good to have back up laces, especially if you're a runner, but really even just doing errands, WHO wants to walk around with a broken lace?I needed more laces for multiple pairs of athletic shoes, thought I would order these two pair set, and if they worked, order more.MY experience:Seem durable, I say seem because I got them to replace LONGER laces that were a bit too long, so ordered ones a few inches SHORTER. I got them today and they are LONGER than the ones that were too long I wanted to replace.I see at least one other review saying laces NOT the right length. OH, and they STRETCH which makes them even longer if you are trying to make them fairly tight.Price, color, SEEMED high quality, but can't say for sure because too long.BOTTOMLINE: These obviously can VARY in length. Many seem to like them, but if sizing is this inconsistent, I'm going with another brand.

These things are actually too grippy. On the plus side this means that once you tighten your laces, they will not loosen AT ALL during the day. That's kind of amazing. On the minus side this means that you have to really pull hard to get them tight, because they don't want to slide smoothly through the eyelets. The problem with this is that it ends up damaging the laces over time, and they only last me 6 months or a year.

I did not like the thick round boot strings that came with my hiking boots. They didn't stay tied at all. I was repeatedly throughout the day retying my boots. I was looking for flat boot strings, but then ran into these. They have a slightly round shape, but true to the description are actually oval. They have a little bit of stretch too, which I find to be very nice. I don't always tie my shoes as tight as I should and that little extra stretch brings them back to where they need to be. The color was also perfect. I ordered the light gray and it matches the fabric of my hiking boots perfectly. I am extremely happy with these.

These were the exact length of my old ones, same color and the oval design was instrumental in buying these. After reading many reviews of other types, especially round laces the biggest complaint was the would not stay tied. I have never had that issue with the oval design and thought "why would I want to change?" Also there is no place I know of where you could go and buy the exact lace you want/need, that is always a source of frustration.

I bought a new pair of sneakers with waaaaaay too long laces, 60 inches. These were presented as 48 inches, so this should make each side of the tied loops 6 inches shorter. BUT, these are 51-1/2 inches, hardly a change from the factory laces. The quality is excellent, but it is too difficult at my age to un- then re-lace these shoes. They are 3.5 inches longer than advertised.

These are very well made shoe strings, unfortunately for someone that is very critical of matching colors this did not match my shoes. The description said dark grey, it should have read dark warm grey (since it had hints of brown in the grey). I was looking for a cool dark grey.

The quality is awesome and the shape holding up. The colour is also as presented and lovely!
