One of the best reads ! Fantastic!
Fantastic! Definitely going to read these books again! I'm defiantly going to recommend these books to all my friends and family, anyone who likes suspense action sexiness fun and bravery. The characters are unpredictable sometimes and unexpected surprises happen though out, can't wait to read the next instalment!

best so far
A thoroughly enjoyable read, well paced with a lot of drama and intrigue.I found myself skipping some of the spice as I found it detracted from the plot, however the twist of Micah was interesting.

This series just gets better and better!
I don’t know how K does it but I am just getting sucked in more and more! The last few series I’ve read, by this point, I’d be starting to get bored. But these books just kept getting better. The characters are outstanding. They have so much depth and individuality, strength and vulnerability, wit and uniqueness. These books are incredibly funny in places, moving in others, as well as being full of action and steamy passion. Even when the main characters are separated from one another we are not deprived of steamy scenes!!It’s incredibly well thought with enough plot points and twists and surprises to keep you totally engaged but without going so overboard that you lose touch with the characters.I LOVE it! Best series I’ve read for a long time. Almost don’t want to read the next book because I know it’s the last!!

I loved the change of scenery!
This book brings the unexpected. The two loved ones are separated - one is literally in hell for the majority of the book - but that doesn't stop the love between these two. And boy... is it hot in hell!I loved the way there is still spice, still funny parts, sass and still that love connection regardless of the fact these two are so far apart.Add in some sacrifices, family, friends, alpha dominance, flirting, twists and turns, prison breaks, a collection of supernatural characters, a well run prison, poisoning, dragons and so much more! It is well wroth a read.Spice:🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 (not quite as spicy as the last one but still hot)Characters: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 (character development continues but this is more plot driven that character driven I'd say.Plot: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (a tiny bit slow in parts but it's like it recognises it so hangs a lantern on it which makes it then part of the story... You'll see what I mean! It's clever!)All in all a great third installment in the Deliciously Dark Fairytales series. I look forward to book 4 (I've already pre-order Ed) the final installment (out may 22, 2022) for some answers to the questions I'm hanging out for!Like queenie? What about those wings? Bro's animal? Omg! I wanna know!

A Kingdom Of Ruin
****SPOILER FREE***Wow! Just wow! Absolutely loving this book series! I don’t want to give anything away in this review. But if you enjoyed the last two book, your throughly enjoy this too. This book takes emotions to a new level. From the action scenes, to struggles, to romance. Whilst still incorporating the emotions of the previous books like having an overprotective Alpha but expressing the softer nature in this book.It leaves the end of the story on a huge cliffhanger too.

Bring it on!
Well, if – like me - you thought the ending of ‘A Throne of Ruin’ was a weepy one, be prepared to have your heart wrenched and wrung out, for a great deal of ‘A Kingdom of Ruin,’ as we’re about to follow Finley into the bowels of the Demon King’s castle.Yep. She’s in dungeons, but even in misery there is hope. Let’s face it, it wouldn’t be much of an enjoyable read if it was entirely doom and gloom. Finley may be separated from Nyfain but they have their connection and their animals to help keep them sane. We get a new set of side-characters too, as Finley is not alone in her “new home.” The Demon King has a lot to answer for, but while we’re aware of what he’s been doing to the golden dragon’s kingdom, we’re about to learn a little of what he’s been up to in other realms and just what he gains for his efforts.Book 3 also shows us the depths of love and loyalty some of our favourite side characters possess for Finley. She inspires strength in people (old and new), leading them onto paths they never thought they’d tread. And while revenge may not be realised just yet, Dolion is about to see what happens when the shoe is on the other foot. And no, I’m not going to elaborate, you will have to read it for yourself. So strap yourself in folks, the happy ending isn’t going to be quick in coming. This bumpy ride just took a turn onto a darker, rougher road and it’s not going to be a pleasant journey. Cheers!

Great read!
I have enjoyed this series immensely. I have read some of her other series, but I didn't enjoy them nearly as much as this one. This series is so close to perfect. It's definitely one of the best series I've read in the 40 years I've been addicted to reading. Put this on your must-read list if you haven't already read it.

Deliciously Amazing
Navigating through this book doesn’t mean you’ll have calm waters, quite the contrary, you’ll face troubled and wonderful waters. Fynley’s arrest brings a new setting and various new characters that will definitely gives more light for the narrative. However, Hadriel stands out, funnier and smarter than ever, an important character for the protagonists’ survival. This story gets better by each book, which is not a surprise considering our genius Queen.

Some of the pieces start to fall into place
It's not often Book 3 of a series surpasses the first couple of novels, but for me, this has been the best book of the Ruin series so far. This author has always been a five star read for me as well as being a automatic one-click and I've read pretty much all of her work (and reread them many times). While I enjoyed Books 1 and 2 as this series started out, I rated them 4 stars. The stories had a different feel to them compared to some of her other writing (that's not a bad thing FYI) and as someone who pretty regularly reads dark/er themed books with plenty of smexy times, it wasn't because the first installments were heavier on that side of things. Regardless of the several updates about how dark and dirty the first couple of books were, this wasn't why I rated it a little lower even though there were warnings about how raunchy it was (I really didn't think it was that bad - maybe all the talk and hype about this is why I found it lacking and not as shocking as it was made out to be?). What I did find, however, was that there were over the top and constant, to the point of tedious, smexy times that took over the story to the point that they seemed to become the plot. This author creates fantastic worlds with even better main and secondary characters. A Kingdom of Ruin, for me, was a return to what this author does best and flipped the pattern of the first couple of books around: hot scenes that were secondary to (while still heavily there) excellent writing and world-building. The steam complemented the story rather than became/overtook it, if that makes sense. Long story short, this was a complete winner for me and had me breathing a sigh of relief as the plot blasted through the territory I had been hoping for. I'm not going to lie - with the author posting updates to hang in there, warning readers that this wouldn't be a light read and that Finley would be run through the gauntlet, I was worried this story might fall a little flat for me again. Well, I was surprised, but in the best of ways.Quick warning - this is the third book in an established story. If you haven't read the first two installments in this series, you need to and there might be small spoilers here and there below as a result, so you've been warned. Book 3 picks up where its predecessor dropped off: Finley is being carted off to Dolion's kingdom to be chucked in to his dungeon. There's torture, what seems to be coercion and non-con scenes as other prisoners in the demon kingdom are drugged with their lust magic and made to get down and busy with the highest bidders for Dolion's monetary and influential gain and pretty much most of the book with our heroine away from her love, Nyfain. I expected this (again from the author's warnings) and while I thought this would bother me, there was so much going on that I actually didn't miss it and it made the build up to an inevitable reunion that much better. There were plots brewing and an excellent bunch of secondary characters introduced, produced as a result of the demon king having a kink for taking shifters, faeries and the like and locking them up. The focus? Escape and getting back to Nyfain and Wyvern to hopefully break the curse and kick some demon toot. A couple of the dragon Shifters really stood out and added a lot to the story line and I hope they keep popping up in the next book. Be warned, apart from their ability to read each other through their bond, there's not a great lot of the physical form of Nyfain in the story until towards the end (I think it's around the 78% mark). We get a couple of chapters from his point of view, but most of the book is told from Finley's perspective. Speaking of the future queen, she really came into her own in this book. She was strong, compassionate and everything I love in a heroine, including excessive amounts of anger and snark. The book built her up as a leader for all and she delivered for me in every way.Hadriel, our favourite mediocre butler, also gets to shine throughout this book and while I found him laid on a bit thickly and cliché-like in the first couple of books, I really loved him in this one. He still had the same snark, but his contribution to the overall plot was done more seriously and gave his character a bit more depth and sophistication. I dunno if that's the right word. Can a guy with more kinks than a two-year old's Slinky with an penchant for wearing a purple, furry costume be sophisticated? Sure, why not. Either way, I found myself laughing out loud for a lot of his commentary rather than leaning towards rolling my eyes and he's become a character who can hold his own (even while soiling his pants lol). I loved Leala in this story, too. I think she's really underrated to the point of almost being on the sideline, but she's one cool chick.A few of the plot points readers would have been waiting for are paraded out in this book with the author going all in. I thought some of them would be dragged out to the next book but thankfully they made an appearance here in many an action-packed scene that had me cheering from the sidelines. I won't ruin any of them here and the author has still kept a few secrets up her sleeve, but there were enough reveals to keep my jaded heart happy and add an extra kick to the overall plot, making sure the book finished on a high note. There was a twist of sorts thrown in but it was pretty predictable as Hadriel left a couple of clues you could drive a bulldozer through. It still rated high on the entertainment scale, though. I found the story jumped time a little bit here and there, especially when a significant event happened, but I didn't mind this for the most part.Overall, this book is exactly why I love this author and what I've been waiting for from this series. The plot was solid with there still being a good amount of hot scenes and the last few chapters were absolute dynamite to read. It's got me chomping at the bit for the next one so jump in and get Book 3, if for no other reason than the fact that I'm pretty sure the author is going to snap if another person says they're not buying any books in this series until its finished. I love the quote at the start, too: "I will love the light for it shows me the way, yet I will endure the darkness because it shows me the stars" - Og Mandino.

Dark, gritty, emotional, sometimes ridiculous and oh so very funny - everything mixed together in a great story and fantastic writing.
