Alfred's Teach Yourself to Play Piano Bk+CD Sheet music

I am self-teaching on the steel guitar and this book is one of the best I have used so far. I do play another instrument so I can read music and know music theory. Steel guitar teachers are hard to come by so it's really great when a student can find a book like this one that starts you off learning notes and scales and simple tunes.Another book I would recommend is by Winnie Winston and sold on Amazon, 'Pedal Steel Guitar'. A third book that I highly recommend is Mel Bay's, 'Deluxe Pedal Steel Guitar Method'. These three books will get you well on your way to playing.A dvd I would recommend is Mel Bay, 'Anyone Can Play Pedal Steel Guitar'.

This book is easy to use till about half way through, then I would recommend some assistance for the lessons. My husband was able to teach himself using the book and could play simple melodies without any assistance.

A very good and easy step by step method to learn to play the piano.

These things are OK if you know how to read music. Most musicians I know that couldn’t care less about reading music or have the time and learn by ear and visual. We need more DVDs on this subject
