Another TIME in a VACUUM

A charming fantasy set in 2022, 1673 and perhaps 500BC. Monty, a young historian from 2022, travels back in time and meets Samuel Pepys and Isaac Newton. Their adventures make up the book.A few facts I checked proved true: people did eat turkeys in 1673. Dissimilar metals in lemon juice do produce electric current. Burisch's explanation of how Newton came to his law of gravity was a delight. The dialogue could be used to make a really novel movie, with Cyndi Lauper's 'Time after Time' as the theme.And I, too, fell in love with Abbie. Abbie emerges from squalor, abuse and dismissal, transmuting from a muddled, greasy-haired, bobbing, quivering servant, into a caring, pretty young woman and finally into a beautiful butterfly. Abbie is the milion for all the empowered women through the ages. I hope she and Monty went off through time and lived happily ever after.
