This Black Series Archive C-3PO is a great addition to any Star Wars collection. Right out of the box, the paint and sculpting stand out — the gold finish looks clean and consistent, and the detailing matches the A New Hope look very well. Articulation is solid for a 6-inch figure. The joints move smoothly and hold poses without feeling loose, which makes it easy to display alongside other Black Series figures. It feels sturdy and well-made, not fragile or cheap. I also appreciate the Archive packaging. It’s collector-friendly and looks great on a shelf if you prefer to keep figures boxed, but it’s also easy to open without damaging anything if you want to display it loose. This figure works well both as a display piece and as a gift for Star Wars fans. Looks great next to my Black Series R2-D2, perfectly scaled. For being C-3PO the articulation is definitely not lacking, and he is very easy to pose. Figure seems quite durable and well worth it for the price. Had to touch up some gold near his eye and chest but otherwise perfect as was the packaging.

He looks fantastic. He's got some nice movement in his shoulders and hands and feet although it would be nice if his feet could rotate on the long axis so he could stand with legs apart better. But Threepio tends to have his feet close together so not a major problem. His elbows don't bend as that would involve the pistons moving. My only issue is his paint finish needs to be glossier so I might mask his guts and eyes and hit him with a gloss clear coat.
