Over the past year, I’ve started taking on adult students and they happen to all have one thing in common: they’re self-taught and able to sight read their way through fairly difficult pieces, however, they all struggle with the co-ordination involved with playing both hands together.This book is working wonders for their co-ordination by stripping everything back to basics, allowing students to focus on building their confidence with hands together playing, without the same complexity as the pieces they’d been tackling themselves. Now that I’ve been using this book for several weeks, I’m already seeing a HUGE difference in their co-ordination in their other repertoire. It’s also such a great feeling seeing their confidence grow, now that we’ve found a book that allows us to dedicate time to target exactly what they’d been struggling with!So, if you have any older students who aren’t total beginners, this book is still such a valuable resource!

This is the older beginner piano book I’ve been looking for my entire teaching career! I couldn’t wait for this to be released and it doesn’t disappoint! From teenage beginners to adults (either beginners or lapsed learners) this book is EVERYTHING us piano teachers want and MORE! Engaging, well-paced and containing beautiful pieces (some of which will be familiar - another bonus!) Using the “Pop chord” method to begin with, You or your older learners will be playing hands together immediately! As the book progresses, you’ll also find instruction on the notation of the Left Hand so this book really does do it all! I currently have a teenager and two adults (one of which just turned 80 years old!) in this book and we can’t wait for book two!!

The unique “pop staff” ensures that the music learned is enjoyable and fun to play.I am currently using this book with a 12 year old beginner who is enjoying it and making good progress.

I am a lapsed adult learner who was recommended to re-learn by the Wunderkeys method. Seems to be working so far. Am now waiting for Book 2.

Zero stars! £11 and I doubt anyone aged 9 and over would use it for more than a couple of months. Very childish! Bought for a teenager...... NOOOO

I have been a piano teacher for a few decades now. I'm always hesitant to spend money on new methods. I wish I found Wunderkeys sooner!! What an amazing program. Finally, a way to teach students contemporary music with the high standards of traditional methods. My "difficult to please" middle schoolers like the repertoire and are happy to work on the technique and theory that gets mentioned throughout. This book is well made with a heavy cover and heavy pages, yet will still stay open on the piano. I highly recommend giving this book a try.

This book is so user friendly, our 11 year old is able to go through it with very little support from me. It very quickly gets them playing songs. Ordered some more from the series because we loved this so much.

I have been waiting for this!! This is so great for older students that don't want to learn Mary had a little lamb. Especially today, kids want almost instant gratification. This book gives them that whilst ALSO teaching them piano properly! So often I've taught chords by pictures to get the same passion. This book is also great for anyone that has played the piano for awhile but struggles sight reading hands together.I love know the chord as well so I can easily improvise along with the student.As a studio owner, we have over 60 piano students. I ordered 5 books and had sold them to students within the first day.I also love it's got rhythm and note reading exercises in it as well!!!I will definitely be buying more and making this a regular for my older new students. Also great for those first lessons to hook them in!

This book is for beginners, but older beginners or adults. Students will quickly feel like they are playing more advanced pieces because of the left hand "Pop chords"...all the while they are learning the basics.

I am learning the piano and found this book very easy to use. It use. Very clear instructions and slots of practice lessons.Highly recommend!
