A great book for beginners. . .very concise but thorough
I've been looking for a book like this for quite some time. I have a wider loom, and was looking for some new projects - something more than just another wall hanging or mug rug to work on. She does a great job of explaining lots of different weave structures and covers various sustainable fibers, as well - which is a nice change of pace from all the acrylic!!! The projects were well thought out and include draft patterns.

A must if you are a beginner and purchasing a tabletop loom.
I purchased this with a loom. The loom itself did not come with instructions, so I am really glad I got the book at the same time. As a spinner, I really loved the fact that the author starts with explanations on the various fibers used in spinning and weaving. Many weavers are also spinners, so a knowledge of fibers is vital to understanding what you work with. A definite must for a beginner.

Two books with the same content. Disappointed
I am giving this book 3 stars because the content is good, but buyer beware. The patterns, illustrations, and much of the content in Fiona Day’s two books “Weaving Big on a Little Loom” (April 2022) and “”Big Weaving on a Small Loom” (May 2022) are identical. I suggest ordering one or the other. I am returning one of mine. Honestly, I feel like I have been scammed. I am disappointed.

A Pretty Good Primer
This has good information for us beginners. If you have a frame loom like the one on the cover, you’ll learn some tricks to warping it that I didn’t realize could be done on my frame loom. It could use a few more close up pics of some of the steps.I feel it was worth the money.
