When this clock arrived I was excited by its appearance. The wood is a beautiful color and the the font of the letters is perfect for our home- easy for everyone to read and not too vintage looking. So classic. The downside- it smelled strongly of formaldehyde or something similar when it arrived. I let it offgas for a couple of weeks in the basement and it eventually went away. If I wasn't so pleased with its appearance I would def. have sent it back because of the smell. It has kept time well. 3.7 stars would be my rating.
