I was looking for a privacy window film and this was definitely the winner! I've attached a photo from outside looking in- seeing as though that was my main concern (hope that helps). I covered all 8 smaller windows on my door using the 17x72in roll. Super easy to cut and place onto the window- I cleaned the windows with windex and wiped dry then sprayed just water using a spray bottle and used a small box to remove any air bubbles :)

This particular one is great. It is opaque and gives 100% privacy day and night. You will not see any shape on the other side unless maybe it was within 1 inch of the glass. It also diffuses light well and can brighten a room.Here are some installation instructions and tips after I've done 8 windows so far.Flat out: If the product didn't work for the 1-star review people then I strongly feel that the problem was either with themselves or with their glass.I've bought 5 different varieties of these Rabbutgoo films and they've all worked fine, however this requires patience and the right steps. If you rush it or cut corners then you will have problems.1. CLEAN YOUR WINDOW - Get Windex and do it at least twice. You have to make sure there isn't any kind of debris, dust or oil. Even if you can't see it, it can still be there.2. Measure and trim to size as close as you can without being too small.3. Have a spray bottle of water with a drop or two of liquid soap inside and shake it up. If you have hard water in your area, maybe try filtered or bottled water to be safe.3. Apply soap spray only immediately before you are going to apply the film. If it dries at any point you need to add more. The film needs a little moisture when it contacts.4. Remove the backing only immediately before you place it on the wet window. It's not always easy to remove. Try poking at the edge with a knife or sharp pin gently to separate the plastic.5. Pull the backing down only maybe 10 inches tops and get it on the top of the window straight. Then reach behind and pull more backing off gradually add press the film to the wet window as you go.IMPORTANT: It needs to be applied fast and with as little touching the window side as possible. It partly uses static electricity to cling to the window. If you take a long time, touch or bend it too much you'll lose the static charge.6. Once it's on the window use a squigee, or ideally a felt lined plastic card to smooth the bubbles out. The felt card can be found on Amazon.7. Keep an eye on it over the next hour or two to see if new bubbles form, and repeat step 6.It's still very possible to make mistakes when applying the film, but it's silly that people blame the product for this.I've done 8 windows now, and out of those I had 3 cut pieces that I had to throw away, and all of them were my fault.

I recently moved into a new rental; although the large windows have roll-down shades, you can still see outside because they are not opaque. It didn't take long to realize that my dog would climb onto the back of my sofa in order to spy on - and bark at - anything happening in the neighborhood. Not wanting to get complaints and deal with property management, I needed a solution that was easy to use, not permanent, and still lets light pass through. Plus, I only wanted to cover the lowest area under the panes, instead of the whole window. The matte white film has been great - really easy to apply by myself, and in the few weeks I've had the film up, it has held up well and prevents my dog from seeing things to bark at outside.

I love this window film! I was tired of hiding our beautiful bay window behind blinds and curtains, but wanted the privacy. These window films were easy to install, provide privacy, and let in the perfect amount of light. If you want to be able to look outside these are not for you. We used a spray bottle with soap, squeegee and a cutter that’s all we needed! They’ve been up over a month and still look great!

Moved into our new house and our bathroom has tons of clear windows. Rather than add window treatments in the bathroom I put this in all of them and it's perfect. You still get all the natural light, but with privacy. If you've ever installed tint or any other film it's the same concept. Use plenty of soapy water (or windex) and a credit card or anything similar to smooth out the bubbles. Take you time and ensure you get out as many or all of the bubbles as possible.

Needed to cover a window that gets direct sun, didn’t want my furniture or wall to fade. It was extremely easy to install and looks great.

I wanted to review this product because I saw many questions asking if this would stop light from blinding them as they walked past a window. The response always seemed to be that this product will let light through. It didn't, however, answer the substance of the question which was: Will I continue to temporarily go blind during daylight hours? I've found that this product does the trick. You will disperse all of that light so that your room will be nice and bright without all that concentrated light blinding you as you walk past a window or sit down in the wrong place at the wrong time. If you walk up to the window and put your face close enough to the treated surface you'll still go blind but from a short distance, everything is fine. Everyone in my house is happy. The children can sit down and watch TV without the light at the front door blinding them. Bottom line ... Buy this product. It's awesome.

Was simple enough to install by myself I just measured everything out, cut, then pealed a little at a time to apply. But would’ve been much easier with someone. I feel like standing by the window is not as hot anymore. Lots of light still comes in however, it’s not overwhelming as it used to be.Can not inside or outside.

bought this for the purpose of using it in my bathroom window after getting new windows. to purchase and install a window with this frosted film it would have cost waaaay more money so I bought a normal window and added this which does the same thing. its completely opaque and you cannot see through it at all. its a thick sticker but very easy to peel off and stick on. easy to cut as well. left a few air bubbles but not bad for a great price

This stuff really does block out what's on the other side. Takes work to get the bubbles out but use a ruler or shower squeegee and does the trick. Used it in our shower and you can't see if someone is in there. Perfect!

I bought this for the family office. The office has huge, nice windows but we still wanted privacy + security since the area can be prone to shenanigans. I can't emphasize how easy these were to install. These were so much easier to install than the Gila stuff I had bought months earlier. We picked up some de-ionized water at Crappy Tire and used a squeegee + credit cards to apply them and they came out looking almost professional. 100% would buy again.The sizing happened to be nearly perfect for the windows, which was really convenient.
