Lash Guard & Comb

This tool takes a little practice and patience to figure out but it’s worth figuring it out. It aids in application of lash serums and mascaras. It will lift and separate to ferret out short lashes for optimal even length and coverage. It would probably aid in the application of eye liners and even contouring. It cleans well and is a sturdy material.

Sadly this did not work well for me. My biggest need was to b protect the skin under my eyes when applying mascara so as not to get the black on my skin. The material on this has two issues in that it is too thick and leaves you very little room to maneuver a mascara wand for your lower lashes and the clear color makes it very difficult to see light colored lashes. Where I think it will work well is for applying mascara on upper lashes, but I don't typically have too much issue with getting mascara above my eyes as I do below my eyes.

I wanted this to work so badly. I always get mascara on my eyelids that I have to clean up with makeup remover. Sadly, it’s just too rigid and too thick to be functional. The “brush” is also a joke, the prongs are far too thick to serve any purpose. I wish they would redo the design with thin, flexible silicon, so it would conform to the contours of your eye lid. The mascara brush needs to go through the eye lashes, and the applicator is so thick, it forces you to kinda apply the mascara on top of the eyelashes that are sandwiched against the applicator, also making you lose a lot of mascara product on the applicator.

This is a good little product and definitely comes in handy for applying mascara without getting any on the upper or lower lids. I wish there was a smaller space between the spokes because the gap is big enough that sometimes my lashes clump together if I’m in a hurry and not careful. Part of the plastic also broke pretty quickly but to be fair I had it in my makeup bag that sits inside my backpack most of the time and wasn’t exactly careful with it. If you’re normal and store this in a regular makeup bag in your bathroom it’s probably durable enough.

I have deep set eyes and this was just really difficult for me to work with

An excellent and simpler tool. Its a bit expensive for what it is but it makes a nice gift.
