Easy installation
This item was super easy to install. I boat solo frequently and am happy to have some peace of mind if a MOB (Operator) situation were to occur.

Switch is versatile and works well.
This switch replaced the OEM switch exactly. It has both NC (normally closed) and NO (normally open) connections for versatility. The new switch works well.

Good replacement safety switch with lanyard.
My boat mechanic thought he lost my safety lanyard, so I ordered this as a replacement switch and lanyard. Turns out, it is almost exactly the same switch I had before and the "key" fit the old one. I had tried to get a new "key" but couldn't find any that fit. So, this seems to work just fine for my installation. It was pretty simple to do and only took about 15 minutes to install. It would still be a pretty easy install even if I had to drill the hole and run the wire.

The first boat repair that didnt break the bank.
I replaced a tiller mounted push button safety switch in an older johnson that wasnt working so well. The rubber of the button had hardened and it would get stuck in the pushed position, causing the engine to not start. Really annoying circumstance when you are offshore and cant get an engine started without dismantling the the tiller control. HOWEVER, I was able to replace it with this new one, using an existing hole slot on the engine case, and now the engine is a single pull start with easy shut off. If only ever boat repair was so easy.
