Q: What is the height once assembled? I see 12.7 inches and that doesn't seem nearly correct.

it's counter height almost. I love it!!!

Q: What is the clearance hight between the bottom shelf and the middle shelf and the middle shelf and the top of the drawers?

The middle shelf is adjustable with 3 settings. With the middle shelf at the highest setting, the clearance height between the bottom shelf and middle shelf is approximately 13 inches and between the middle shelf and the bottom of the drawers is approximately 9 inches.

Q: Is the bottom shelf sturdy enough to hold flour sugar etc?

Both shelves are very sturdy. I have my flour, sugar, canisters on the bottom shelf. The unit is very sturdy.
