LokarTD-3350400FM Hi-Tech Firewall Mount Transmission Dipstick for GM 350/400 Transmission

The fit and finish is of the Lokar excellent. I tried cheaper ones, that look the same. They only look like it. One 20.00 one couldn't get the dip stick back in, and the fit was loose. Another one 47.00 was too short, and had a loose fit.

The original chevy dipstick tube had been leaking for years. I tried replacing the seals several times, I've used plumber's tape and other DIY remedies, but nothing lasted more than a month before the drip came back. After some research, I decided to try this Lokar flexible dipstick. I saw some other cheaper ones, but the reviews were terrible and I know Lokar is pricey but top-notch quality. I doled out the extra $ and it was worth it. Install was easy and haven't seen a drop of fluid since. I can finally clean the driveway!

This dipstick was everything that I had hoped it would be. Well built. Good looking. Completely functional. Reasonably priced. I highly recommend it.

These flexible dip stick tubes work very well. I've used them before for trans swaps. The only problem is the tube is a little small and getting fluid into the trans takes forever. But these fit well for trans that have little room between trans and trans hump.

Years ago I bought a cheap copy of this product and have regretted it ever since. The difference in quality is amazing. If you are thinking about the bargain priced piece, do yourself a favor and buy this one. You won't regret it.

bought this for a 1964 Cadillac, the tab was broke off the original, this was my last hope to stop the fluid leak at the hole it goes in fit well, but visited this problem 6 times and I still have a leak
