Extremely well made not just look but very heavy as gyroscope men to be. But little over priced being made in china. But i love it for my crazy collection. Loved it...

This is an excellent fidget toy for my Integrated Physics and Chemistry (IPC) class that helps create an interest in the content I teach. This thing is extremely durable, which is what I need since I’m working with rambunctious 14 year olds. The string you crank it with is also of excellent quality. I’ve read some reviews about it being too heavy and was mentally prepared for that, but have had no issues at all with its weight. I am however a fairly strong, 220lb man who grew up as a kid cranking lawnmowers like it was his job…well, I suppose it was.

Ball bearing performance is a treat. Slight vibration from balance is annoying but acceptable. Filing a chunk off the inside of the rim significantly improved performance.

I teach existing pilots to fly a specific type of jet aircraft and had one of these kids come though that was all about pushing buttons but had extremely few hours hand flying an aircraft. I went back to the basics to determine his knowledge level and found him lacking in a lot of aerodynamics basics including this subject so I bought the gyro for him which kept him entertained for a short while. This is a NICE piece of work and ball-bearings make a huge difference in run time. Quality training instrument, much more than a kids toy I thought.
