Nice and Bright - Perfect Fit for my older Panasonic microwave
My Panasonic Microwave oven Model NN-SD987S, Made in Feb 2015 - first had the interior light go out. Then, for awhile it went back on for a month or two of normal use (weird). Then, it finally burned out completely. In checking around locally (with places like Batteries Plus and various appliance repair shops) nothing for a bulb could be found. So - I went to Amazon. The first bulb I tried for a home repair was an aftermarket one (cheaper) and although it worked - it was very dim and poor.Today I installed this new one and it works great. Nice and bright. If you take on this swap-out yourself (it's pretty easy) there are some helpful videos on YouTube but I can share the two biggest points I found.1). The microwave cover screws along the side are standard Phillips but the remaining screws along the back are special security-bit screws. You will need to buy a set of those sets to get that correct fit as a normal Phillips won't work. I had bought - a long time ago - one of those unique sets of bits at Menards and was glad I had them when I now needed them.2). When you go to the slide the spades off of the old bulb it might be tempting to simply try and pull hard but there is a trick you should know. Inserting a small paperclip in the hole on the spade will free the connector to EASILY slide-off. It's a wire retention feature many simply don't realize exists.

EXACT REPLACEMENT FOR GE PROFILE MICROWAVE OVEN LIGHT BULB. WORKS PERFECTLY!
If you need to replace a lightbulb in a GE Profile microwave and are wondering if this bulb from Panasonic works or not, you can put your mind at ease, this bulb is an exact replacement bulb which GE discontinued. After searching the web extensively, I realized that the GE bulbs are no longer available (discontinued) and was surprised to see a couple people selling USED bulbs from dismantled GE microwaves for $13.00. For a USED BULB! I'm not sure who's crazier, the person selling a used lightbulb or the guy who buys it. Either way, I was able to cross reference the obsolete GE bulb and it came up with this Panasonic. It has the correct terminals for the plug-in wire connectors. Bulb fits and works perfectly. One note for GE Profile Microwave owners....replacing the bulb is somewhat of a pain in the butt. There is not an access panel for bulb replacement, so you must remove the microwave cover/case to gain access to the bulb. You'll need a Phillips screwdriver and a Torx 25. Total time to replace the bulb should take around 15-20 minutes. Check out Youtube for a helpful video on step by step procedures.

It's still working!
Finally fulfilling the request for a "review" from when I purchased it. This request lives on in infinitum, so here it is " yes, it is still working."

Perfect replacement bulb
Perfect replacement for my microwave oven. Only issue I have is the price. Why does a light bulb cost this much???

Perfect fix for my Panasonic NN-H965WFX
It took me literally less than 3 minutes to remove the m/w cover, replace the bulb, replace the m/w cover and plug it back in. Be advised that the two wires have a tiny tab at the top end of the metal spade that connects to the metal tabs on the bulb fixture. These tiny tabs must be pressed down to enable release of the wires from the bulb fixture tabs. It is really easy to do but the tiny tabs are almost impossible to see. Just know that these won’t come off of the posts (tabs) of the bulb fixture if the tiny tabs on the wires are not pressed down. Perfect product. Easy to install. Go for it.

Prongs are 1 wide 1 narrow
The pictures don’t show the underside of this socket and I couldn’t tell that one is wide and the other narrow.I needed a socket with the prongs being the same size (both narrow).

does not fit all models of panasonic microwaves
I am very disappointed with Panasonic. I opened the box to fix my Panasonic microwave bulb, the bulb they sent had the wrong connections. I know I should have looked closer, but the only difference was 'e5y', vs 'e9y' in the middle of the product number. Of course I am outside of the return window. And even if I wanted to order the correct bulb from Panasonic, the bulb I need is not prime eligible - $13 shipping on a $17 bulb!

I can see again...
The lamp blew in our Panasonic Microware, so I order it as my replacement. Works great and now we can see the food being warmed up :)

They said such bulbs were obsolete and unavailable.
After some 12 years of enjoying my Panasonic microwave, the interior bulb burned out. I then took it out and visited several industrial and electronics supply stores -- in particular, one that boasts 1,000,000 parts! The message was the same: the supply of bulbs of the type needed were no longer available anywhere. Chalk one up for Amazon! I quickly found that the bulb is indeed, available, and it was installed back into my microwave after only a couple of days waiting for it to arrive. Works perfectly, as it is an original Panasonic bulb.

Works great. light is very yellow
I really hate the design of these panasonic microwaves. What a stupid design where you have to take out the entire microwave and remove the back panel. The safety screws on the back are a pain, but a flat head screw driver does the trick. This light bulb fits perfectly, and had no issues installing it. The light is very yellow though, I'm not sure if that's what it was like before... but it works
