Forget-Me-Not Bombshell

Another fantastic RH from the sisters!
1st person/multiple povSpice: 4/5My god, there was so much happening in this book - I mean she is pretty thick. I started reading this when it was released back in March and thanks to being a mood reader I got sidetracked. So when the audiobook came out I decided it was time to jump back in with it because, Troy Duran - enough said lol.The audiobook quickly reminded me why I love the sisters and their writing. They can take a dark story and add so much humor to it that it doesn't feel like you're reading something that isn't a lighthearted fluffy romance. You get the best of both worlds, a dark romance that doesn't feel quite so heavy on your emotions and the laughter it causes makes you feel like nothing can bring down the good mood it puts you in. Then of course when you have narration from two people like this one does, the audiobook just makes it twice as good and laugh twice as hard.I wound up reading the final book in this interconnected series before finishing this one (heads up - if you don't want spoilers just avoid that epilogue until you finish the others in the series) so I had already met Anya's brothers. The way they described their sister I knew I was going to love her character before I even started. I was not wrong. Anya is a spitfire! She has so much backbone and after the way she's treated when she first arrives in London it was obvious that she wasn't going to be walked on by anyone. But my favorite thing about her is how much music means to her and how vital it is to who she is as a person. I can relate to that in so many ways it's not even funny. It was like I could see bits of myself in her story anytime her music was brought up.As for the guys... Danny can take a beautiful swan dive of a leap from the highest building in the UK. That's all the time I'm going to spend on him. You have to give it to the sisters though because they sure know how to write a villain that we all love to hate.Moving on. Franky boy... whew Frank was a shock to my system as much as he was Anya's. He was so cold and anger seemed to be his only emotion when we first meet him I wasn't sure how much I would like him by the end. But once he started connecting with her through her music I knew he was going to potentially be my favorite. And if I wasn't already warming up to him before that first scene at the Duck and Dog I would have firmly been team Frank afterward! I mean sweet lord... how could you not fall for a man with that level of confidence and talent right? (For those who haven't read it yet just wait and see.)Then we have Church. Oh my god, he is the Leon of this story so of course, I absolutely adore him! This is where the sisters excel is with characters like him. He's confident but not annoyingly so. He's smart but also sometimes lacks common sense and it gives him this innocence that you can't help but love. And he's hysterical! So much of the humor and my side-splitting laughter came from scenes with this man. I got excited every time I saw that the next chapter was from his pov!As for the king of London, Mr. Benny Butcher himself well, you can't help but love him too. After all, he is determined to right the wrongs of his stupid brother. Even with almost everyone around him against him in one way or another he stays firm in acting the part he's chosen to play without becoming his horrible brother in the process. He also lets Anya have quite a bit more freedom than most mafia men in his situation probably would have. For a leader of a criminal empire, he's not really that bad of a guy, to be honest. Of course, all the guys are hot as sin which makes for some very satisfying (and sometimes comical) spicy scenes. Oh, and if you like extended epilogues well they give you plenty of it with this one which was so awesome.Don't let the size of this baby steer you away from it either. I know it's quite a large read but honestly, everything about it from start to finish is worth the time it takes to read it no matter how long that may be lol.As always don't forget to check the TW/CW! I mean it is a mafia romance after all so even under all the humor it's still on the darker side. If you like audiobooks I highly suggest grabbing this one in audio - you will not be disappointed!

Another great read from the sisters
This was another fantastic read from the sisters. I found it a little slow going in the beginning but once the story got going I didn’t want to put it down!

😃
Good plot, loved the relationship building, I’m a sucker for an extended epilogue of the character’s lives. It brings out all the emotions at times, frustration over the fmc not catching on sooner but it was good!

Take me to Church, I'll worship like a dog....
I adore Anya. I adore Benny. I adore Frank. But man, Churchy. He's infectious in the best way. You just can't help but love him. And Dylan, the fairy godmother, with all his fabulous outfits and unwavering support for Anya... everyone needs a Baker. This was the longest of the Mafia wars stories but the one I didn't want to end the most. It's going straight onto my read-again list. Well done twisted sisters.

spicy, funny, action packed, and a fierce female
4.5/5 StarsAnya is a force to be reconned with, and such a perfect match for this odd trio of men. This book is actioned packed, full of spice, and has a lot fun and unique personalities. Although this book is dark, there is also plenty of humor right from the get-go. Church is the funny easy going of the three men, and Anya can match his humor, but also match the strength of Benny and the serious nature of Frank. I also love the plot twists and the secrets all the characters are housing. This was a very unique mafia romance and contains so many of my favorite tropes. I listened to this as an audiobook, and also listening to all the well-done accents made for a unique listening experience. This romance is full of angst and everything that makes a well put together romance.Forget Me Not Bombshell is great for those who like a mafia romance, why choose romance, marriage of connivence, forced proximity, and enemies to lovers. Dark romance lovers will love this book as it's full of spice, darker themes, and is action packed. If you like a why choose romance with a fierce female lead and lots of banter this may also be a great choice!

Holy Smokes Batman…
What an amazing book. Wow, simply wow.Now that was a great story. It was long and so detailed in every aspect and I seriously loved it.The multiple POV is the best thing ever and never more so than this book right here. We not only got to know Anya really well but also each of the guys so well.Benny was a strength throughout this book and I loved this character. His love and loyalty was so enjoyable to read and his love for his wife and Church and Frank was so absolute.Church and his humour was funny to read. His loyalty to Benny and then Anya and also Frank was enjoyable to read. His Englishness was so funny.I think Frank had a most and best insight into Anya with their love of music and life they had been dealt. They seemed to have the deepest connection for me. His ability to make Anya realise she didn’t need her headphones anymore was so beautifully written.I seriously seriously loved the length of this book. It went so deep and into so much detail and with the twist and turns I didn’t loose my enthusiasm for these characters. One thing I loved the most was the multiple add on of years and what was happening with them and the family they created. I know I can close this book and not be left wondering what happened next with these characters. These two Authors created an amazing story and can’t wait to read the next book.

Winston Churchill
Okay so brace yourselves this one is a pretty long, long, long book. I was intrigued and loved the beginning, but felt it slow down a bit in the end. I loved all the characters and their dynamics, but I still feel it was way too long. This book is more of a 3.5 for me.

Let us talk about Church
So let me start by saying, congrats girls for this very first standalone!!! I knew you could do it!!! Im sure you missed torturing us with cliff after cliff until the fifth book lol just kidding. I loved this novel. This series is amazing. Anya has the spirit of the true peckham-valenti girl and her passion for music speaks to me. Church is absolutely perfect, with his very British constitution, and has joined the hall of my book boyfriends along side with Saint and Johnny James

Damn, it was a journey ❤
What can I say, I see the names of these two authors and I just got the book. No need to even read the blurb. They are so good at writing plots, angst, the spice level always perfect 😘 🔥 The characters depth and their relationships with one another, aww makes me want to have one like that. No many authors can write friendships well but these two just know how to... Oh, not to forget Ahh, the antagonists made my skin crawl, all of them... ugh 😅 meaning they were so well written and felt realistic.Sad the journey is over......but, that epilogue is among my favorites.I hope to read more from these writers.

And they did it again
Loved the book…the Twisted Sisters did it again…..this is the last book I read in the mafia books series and this has to be one of my few favourites in the series…..from Church’s funny references to weirdly funny names…..this book just was worth the time….. the humour just pops up with no warning in the middle of a fight……this is the only book in the series which is also hilarious on its own right……definitely recommend..

Too long and too many plots
Boy was this book long, it was exhausting, the first and second parts were good, but the third dragged a plot that wasn't even that entertaining. The Candlestick maker was just there, his scenes were so random and he died in a meh way.The Czar story was annoying and it was there just to give Anya something to do on the gang, I don't think that I ever wanted a FMC to fail in something so much like I wanted her to fail in her mission of finding out what he gave the other guy to keep safe. Also I hate inconsistencies, like the guy is super paranoid and you tell me that he doesn't have cameras on his house and didn't see Anya kissing Church on the supposed Interpol raid, come on. Also how Benny's speech while he was killing him was the most cringe worthy thing that I ever read. This books would be better if Danny was the only villain, becaus his story was the most interesting. When I arrived on the third pat I was praying for the book to finish already. The other characters were mostly alright, but I came to the realization that these authors RH stories all have the "same" characters.Anya started as a good character, but I felt like she was trying too much to be "not like other girls" (like Rogue with her love for the Green Ranger or Tory with the bikes) and I hate this, you can say that you like to wear jeans and t-shirts without complaining about dresses and heels, and her only hearing "classic rock" was another "not like other girls" and it made my liking towards her diminish, and she just became annoying after the revelation about Benny and him promising her that he would give her everything that she wanted.I loved Chuch and Benny, wanted to see more of them together and together with Anya, which we almost don't get, like we have Benny promising that he'll make Anya want him and them we have a passing of weeks and Anya telling about him going down on her, but we don't see them together, we don't see her falling in love, the same with Church, we don't see them together, we just get them talking about being in love, but we don't see it.I got a problem with Frank's characterization. He doesn't fit in the group, I didn't felt chemistry between him and Anya (or him and the boys), him getting all mad at Danny because he took her away didn't made sense, especially because she arrived unharmed and she wasn't his? If it was the real Danny he would be dead and his outburst could had put her in danger because Danny could think that they were togethe or something like that. The music thing just doesn't make sense, "oh we like music so we must be together", is just stupid. Him wanting to hurt her because of what her brothers did to him is the most idiotic thing that I ever heard, the same thing about him not believing or wanting to hear Benny when apparently they were thick as thieves. Also the sex scenes weren't that good, I find it so weird these writers obsession in inserting objects on their FMC pivate parts, it's ot sexy. Frank and Anya little torture/sex scenes reminded me of a scene from Den of Vipers which isn't something good. Anya and Chuch had the best scene that was the boat one.I realized that I hate when the FMC is married to one of the guys from the harem, I just feel like it makes the relationship a counter balance because the husband will always think and act ilke he's the boos on the relationship (like Havoc by C.M stunich) and I just hate it.I actually kind of wanted them all to be dead, it would be the pefect ending, because the epilogue part was bad, it wasn't funny (and also the thing about Benny needing a baby with Anya to keep the peace didn't mad sense since he considered all hte kids his an they were all hers) and as I said before it had the worst cringy worthy moment that I ever read.

Wowzer 🤯
What in the p🎶ssing heck did I just read??!?Cracking read, could not have loved the characters and plot more. Uniquely individual, all a special kind of screwed up but more lovable & hilarious for it (everybody should have a Church like that to worship at). And superbly British references with an east end background that enabled it all seem so authentic to a born and raised Brit. I liked the length as it really allowed character development and just gave me more time, insight, laughter & depth into a darkly funny as flick world - winner!Add a well written significant amount of steam and I would give this book 10 stars if I could, definitely the best book I’ve read this year if not longer.Absolutely smashed it twisted sisters. Thankyou for existing and writing this book. Off to check out what other madness you have concocted in your evil genius brains where I think I would like to live, sigh…..(One note though, I didn’t see a trigger warning at the beginning of the book which imho should be there. Dark, gritty, bloody, mentions of domestic abuse and non-concluding forced situations. Fortunately, it was ok for me but we’ve all have different paths in life to determine those we are happy to tread going forward, worth being aware if you need to mind your steps on any wobbly floorboards 😑💕).
