I am satisfied with the purchase at the price point I bought it for (Prime Day sale). I don't know that I would have been satisfied with it at regular price, because the finish isn't perfect (a couple minor flaws/scratches) and the sides aren't as "finished" as the front. The protective coating was indeed a pain to remove because it would shred into narrow pieces. But the product fit perfectly on top of my newer Samsung gas stove and looks great. The shelf is deep enough to fit standard spice containers two deep. It doesn't completely close the gap between stove and wall, but my stove sticks out pretty far because of the emergency shut off valve. I'd say it closes at least an inch and a half of the gap. The ledge on which the shelf sits isn't perfectly level and I was worried that there might be too much of a tilt, but it's minimal and not noticable. Overall good product.

Design: Product is well engineered to enable maximizing kitchen space. If you select color to match stove or its burners, product is likely to look like it always should have been and ever will be atop your stove.Packaging kudos: Item arrived unscathed, arriving in its own box with shipping label directly attached. Clever use of rigid corner protectors as well as foam paddSet-up Tip: Have patience when removing product's protective film, since it's both adundant and sticky (without residue). Using a Lysol/etc wipe may help loosen edges of pieces of film that you may have missed while peeling.

When I peeled off the protective film this was dead center of the shelf. I thought it might ve been adhesive so I tried to scrub it off with a sponge but it's still there. Clearly a munufacturer defect.

I originally started with a bamboo shelf but the paint was worn or chipped so I figured it wouldn't stand up to removing and replacing the items on it when I cooked. This metal shelf is perfect (and in 1 piece). It first perfect, has nice big magnets to hold it in place and the black shelf compliments my stainless and black stove. Very nice quality!

I highly recommend this for adding shelf space to your kitchen. This was easy to install and has remained sturdy since I started using it. Well-made and fits bottles of oil and spices easily. Affordable too!

Less One Star For Sides Not Being Stainless Steel Otherwise The Lip All The Way Around Is What Sold Us.

Looked nice, sturdy. Could not get magnets to stick. Can try the bubble strips, didn't want to get residue on my new stove.
