Purchased this type of sarsparilla by accident. But decided to keep it and use it until I received the original variety. There were "lead" warnings on the photo but none on the one received so I'm not sure whether this issue was corrected or hidden. So I will not be using this long term just in case.On the plus side, I do feel a slight change in my joints. But not sure if it is this product or the sea moss I also started taking. would like to read more clinical trials on this product and more about the company and the "lead" issue. Which is very concerning. More transparency is needed with this company to know if it is safe and truly effective.

I made my own using cinnamon, cayenne, ginger, and sarsaparilla powder (uses the recommended amount on the bottle)with a cap full of Bragg Apple cider vinegar with water. This was the first thing I drank this morning 30mins- 1 hour later I felt like I lost some pounds. TMI you will do a healthy #2. This product is a good quality. But is not the sarsaparilla that health experts are saying to take. This is Hemidesmus Indicus (good for kidney health.) But the Sarsaparilla I thought I was getting is (Smilax Medica) which has a lot more benefits. Still this is a good product.
