I bought this as my old weather station finally packed up after about 15 years of loyal service. That brand didn't seem to exist anymore so I looked on Amazon for a new one. I am not a massive weather enthusiast, but I like to track outside and inside temp as it helps me decide if I need my big coat or if its too cold to go for a run! I dont need very high accuracy but the first station I bought was off by about 3oC and despite contacting the support email three times, I never got a response. And the accuracy never improved, so I returned that unit and bought this one instead. One thing that struck me was that the base units and remote sensors look almost identical between this and the one one I returned. I suspect they are all made in the same factory and just re-branded as necessary. Although there was a slight difference in the display (clock size). They were also very very similar. Setting up: was actually pretty straight forward as I had set up the previous one and I have to say the instructions for that were much more comprehensive and easy to read. This one the instructions are minimal and in a font so tiny I could only just read in bright light with my reading glass on. in fact I resorted to using a magnifying glass! On the whole it kinds of sets itself up - unless you want to change to 24h clock or have day shown before date or vice versa. The clock updates itself via radio signal which is a very nice feature, although be patient as it can take several minutes before it updates itself. The remote sensor I just popped a couple of batteries in and it connected itself to the base unit. I currently have mine close to the base unit so cant comment on range. As the remote detects humidity it is not waterproof so needs to be located somewhere sheltered. I have bought a housing for it off ebay so hopefully it comes soon and fits! Humidity readings were very close to other devices I have Accuracy: When I first set this up I was surprised at how far off the temp was compared to a temp sensor and the old base unit for my old station. It was 4-5 degrees out! I contacted support who responded quite quickly (on a sunday no less!) with some suggestions. HOWEVER I left it alone for a few hours and the temp display seems to have come into line with those other devices. I think it is just quite slow when big temp drop happens (mine was cold as had just been delivered and set it up indoors so there was a big temp change to adjust to). Now that mine has been set up for 24h it seems very close to other temp devices I have checked it against. I have no way of knowing exactly which is correct but they are all within ~1oC of each other and for my purposes I'm fine with that. Display: Display is nice and bright and perhaps a little busy, but at least the temp displays and time displays are amongst the largest on the screen so that suits me. The one I returned, the time was very small. The brightness can be adjusted but I am running it from mains (supplied thankfully!! not just a cable!) I keep the display on bright all the time for ease of viewing. The pressure display is confusing and very small so if that is important be aware! Forecast: So far (its only been a day!) I have found the forecast to be inaccurate, but for a budget device like this I dont think you can expect too much. In short I think this is a good budget device, but be patient when setting it up and let it "settle in" for a few hours!!

Very pleased, easy to set up and bright display using the plug which was supplied in the package. Remote sensor sited 10 metres away which is good, and all measurements on display accurate, and easy to read, so all in all very good, thanks.
