Q: Screen brightness. I purchased a different brand I sent back because the screen didn't show what was drawn very easily. Is this bright?

Yes it is bright. My two granddaughters (ages 4 & 6) enjoy playing with the writing tablets and never complain about not being able to see their designs.

Q: Can the battery be replaced as it says built in battery?

Yes it even came with extra batteries.
