A Great Book
I was lucky enough to have gotten a free copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for a review which I am happy to provide. It has been a long time since I did any sewing and I just got a sewing machine so I thought this book would be great to get me started again on some simple projects. Not only is this book beautifully put together, with some full page photography and projects for beginners/advanced sewers, with easy and clear instructions, lists of all the material you will need and approximately how long it will take to complete . It also has a whole section with stitch and tips information which is very handy. The book has some creative gift ideas, and I might not find all of them to my liking, but the book got my creative juices flowing and I can't wait to get started on my first project.

Great book for beginners
I've started my sewing with a Great British Sewing Bee book which assumed you know what you are doing most of the times but Makery Sewing is written really nicely with a lot of info and instructions for you. I really love crafts and my Eye Mask was just lovely... Thanks Kate Smith!

It's Ok
This is a nicely presented book and I was hoping to learn a variety of skills whilst progressing through the projects. However, most of the projects seem to be a variation of the same theme, with very little skill development. The 'patch pocket' for instance, is simply sewing a square patch of fabric onto a t-shirt, when I read the list of contents, I thought it taught you how to make the t-shirt. I think this would be a nice starter book maybe for youngsters just getting started, but it didn't really live up to my expecations to be honest.
