Ginger pieces were very small. None sprouted.
I did get purple ginger, but the pieces were dry and very small. Not a single one sprouted. If sold for growing, the seller should ensure viable stock. That said, purple ginger is not easy to find, and I have no idea what it normally is like, so I'll give it a second shot some time and see if I get better ginger.

Does not look like black ginger
When I cut it, I find it like normal white gingerAnd some other pieces are dried up and cannot be used for planting. However I have plated them and can wait and see.
