Full page photos and filming process at it's best
Being a huge film buff, I have already invested in many movie companions just like this one only to see behind the scenes filming process and director's commentary. There are so many interesting things you can explore with this book. Each page is filled with photos, and nearly half of them are full page prints, which is beautiful. There are also many comments from the director Chris Weitz, costume designers, camera crew, writer Melissa Rosenberg and much more. It's very in depth, thorough and filled with different details. If you're buying this movie guide only to read about the main actors, don't do it. There are some comments from Robert, Kristen and Taylor, but the main concept of this book is the filming process, setting the movie set, makeup and CG effects, writing and so on.I was really lucky to buy this movie guide because it's one of the best ones I've read! I rate it 5 stars.

Fun addition to my collection
Bought this to add to my Twilight collection that I’ve been building since I was a teen. This serves as a fun in depth look behind the scenes and characters !

Great book to read details of behind the scenes info.!
Love to read the behind the scenes tid-bits. How they set something up, if they had a hard time with a particular setup or shot. Actor/actress feelings about their character. Just awesome. the photos are amazing. And you always get a few shots that we cut from the movie and makes you wonder.....awww Why'd they cut that, but you still get to see these amazing shots. If your a big fan its cool to have this Illustrated books to check out every aspect of your obsession.

Twilight: New Moon
Wow, what more can I say, these movie companions are a must have for any Twihard. Just love all the behind the scene information and interviews with the stars. The stills from the movies are incredible. My only dissappointment was they neglected to publish a photo of Edward as he is about to step into the sun. But then again, maybe they knew that would be tooo much for some people LOL Just love these books.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon-The Official Illustrated Movie Companion
What a wonderful way to see the movie from the directors point of view. The Movie Companion is a great way to guide you along the way with unseen photos, personal experiences and just an all around look at the filming of New Moon will draw you back into the emotion and feeling of being in the movie. I truly enjoyed the emotion as well as the fun that was put into this companion. It has kept me engrossed in the story just one step further.

Nothing New, but i love it all the same.
Well let's get this 'out there', before people assume that this is an objective review. I'm a major Twilight fan, so even before holding this book in my hot little hands, i knew i would like it. Which isn't to say, people who arent' fans, won't like it....But lets be honest, if you're not a fan, what's the point of owning the book?Okay i'll try to keep this short. ANY self confessed Twilight fan, would have seen the images a thousand times over prior to purchasing the book. However there are some new ones in there. The information isn't all that radical and new...yet, its nice to have all that nonsense info about 'how cold it was' and 'getting the outfits right' etc, bound together in a nicely covered glossy book.If your a major fan, you'll want it, if you're not...then stay away from the mass advertising/merchandising money spinner juggernaut that is the TWILIGHT Franchise...honestly once you begin, you may not be able to stop.

yummy photos
Great photos for any Twilight-crazed fan and a good buy for the price. This is perfect for drooling over and waiting for the DVD to come out since you can only justify going to see New Moon at the theater every so often without your husband and kids accusing you of being obsessed with Robert Pattinson (or Taylor Lautner if he's your choice)! Don't waste your time on the Twilight-themed journals, or director's notebook garbage; let's face it, most of us are looking for serious eye candy and this fits the bill! This is a perfect companion piece for any Twilight enthusiast, I recommend it highly.

Beautiful book
This is a great book for the trueTwilight fan, it has all kinds of tidbits of information that's not generally known about the filming as well as an insight into how the actors approached their specific character. The photos are beautiful, they show lots of different perspectives on the sets & costumes as well. Great all around book, looking forward to the other books in the series.

Didn't know I was purchasing a 2nd hand book!
Had absolutely no idea that I had ordered a 2nd hand book... it's in very good condition but nowhere did it state that it was 2nd hand. Luckily it was just for myself and I really couldn't be bothered sending it back to the US. My grand daughter will enjoy it too... it has everything in it as described, it just wasn't described as 2nd hand!

A MUST-HAVE FOR TWILIGHT FANS
The New Moon illustrated movie Companion gives us an intimate look at the creation of the film. Written again by Mark Cotta Vaz who gave us the original Twilight companion, this one in my opinion is even better. Crammed full of lavish, full color and never before seen photographs (okay, yes most are available on different fan sites but isn't it nice to have them all together here?)Inside we get; exclusive cast and crew interviews, personal quotes, behind the scenes information and a tour of the film sets. Interviews with the actors and director Chris Weitz, wardrobe, hair and make-up secrets, a technical movie making section (revealing location and color change information as well as editing, special effects etc) We then get answers to questions about costume and set design and learn the secrets to the stunts and how a person can become a werewolf. At 141 pages this book is a must-have for any fan and once you've looked at the pictures a couple hundred times and stopped drooling at Edwards Italian reveal and all the shirtless, buff werewolves there's actually tons here to read and discover. For example did you know Edward and Bella were plagued by mosquitoes during the break-up scene? and that Edward wears the same suit throughout the movie because he's seen only through Bella's visions and that was the last thing she saw him wearing? (it gets progressively more tattered as the movie progresses) In a really interesting chapter we get to know the history of the Volturi and see some really cool period costumes (hello Carlisle) as well as details of Edward getting beat up by Felix. We hear more about Taylor's fight for the role of Jacob and explore the world of the Quileute which has been totally integrated with the forest except for the scenes within Emily's house. And with my eternal gratitude we learn that there will be "a fresh interpretation" for Edwards sparkle effect. After devouring this book I now can't decide if it's made the wait until November easier or harder? On one hand it's easier because I have all these gorgeous photos and information to tide me over but on the other its now harder because I'm even more excited to see the movie.

Plenty to satisfy your appetite
If you are an avid fan some of the content will already be familiar, but many of the large collection of beautiful photographs are not. They are a treat for the eyes and will satisfy your need to feast on your favourite characters from Stephenie Meyer's book New Moon. Everything you wanted to know about the making of the film, the why, where and how's are all answered. Those who are less familiar with the popular "Twilight" saga will be able to familiarise themselves with the main groups involved in this moving story of lost love, new friendships and divided loyalties.I, for one, will be browsing through this movie companion every day until the film is released in November 2009.

Another winner
Once again, Mark Cotta Vaz brings to life the world behind the second instalment of the Twilight Saga. I confess I had found neither the book- nor the movie version of New Moon quite as captivating as the original story of Twilight. Initially, I put this down to the fact that all or most of the characters were no longer new to me. There was plenty of action, of course, what with Bella's death-wish escapades and the confrontation with the Volturi, and enough discovery revolving around the Quileutes and their shape-changing talents to keep me interested, but the story's thread didn't unfold as easily as I might have liked. Then Amazon.ca sold me Cotta Vaz's portrayal of how the book was morphed into the movie, and I quickly reconsidered my first impressions. It contains a good deal more in-depth detail surrounding the making of the film that I of course immediately went back to revisit the screen version. Again, the photography, character studies, actors' comments, and full-disclosure special effects descriptions had me totally bewitched and back on the Twilight Train. Another invaluable addition to the Twi-hard keepsake treasury.

Definitely worth it!
Since I've been under a rock for quite a while it seems, I've recently became a twi-hard. I've brought all the books, dvd's and about a month ago all the movie companions including this one. I love having this movie companion because when your watching the movies, if your like me and feel a little depressed when its over because you want to watch more, these are so handy. I pull mine out and look at the pictures (there is loadss!) and all of the key info about the movie also. It has glossy thick paper and great HD pictures. (to me anyway...) I love this movie companion lots! You should definately buy it, you wont be disappointed.
