I mostly got these for the fingernail/toenail clippers, and not so much for the cuticle cutter. So I'm not sure how well that works. But the fingernail clippers are great, and they leave a nice edge that doesn't feel rough, at least in my experience. The toenail clippers are pretty much the same in that respect, they get the job done.I like how sturdy and durable these clippers seem compared to the flimsy kind you'd find at Wal-Mart or something. I definitely see these clippers lasting me for some time.Certainly worth the premium I paid on these, as you can find really cheap ones in the store for like $5-6, but I'm glad I went with these instead. Plus the travel pouch is very nice!

Every detail is high quality and beautifully designed. The first thing I noticed is the leather case - very well made, good looking, and nice to the touch. Wonderful for taking the set with you. The nail clippers are excellent. A good sharp snap from edge to edge. The swivel handle does not slip while clipping. The edges are sharp, be carefull when removing from the case - use the handle or push out from the bottom! The tweezers and nail nippers are also very good quality. This set is all you need. The built in nail buffer is especially useful if you need the clippers while on the go and need to give the sharp nail edge a quick immediate smoothing.This is a very nice added feature. I am very happy I chose this product.

I went with this set for two reasons:1) high quality stainless steel - heavy, durable, and rust resistant2) convenient carrying caseSo far, passes #1. You can usually tell by the weight of something if it is cheap carbon steel with a “stainless steel” coating. These are quite heavy, which is a good sign. One design “flaw” that was noticeable is the clippers don’t have anything to stop the level from sliding around, as shown in the picture. Not a big deal, but it’s something that was noticeable and can make it hard to close the case if it overlaps with the trimmer on the other side.#2. To be honest, the case is a cheap POS. They used a single thin piece of vinyl to make the loops to secure the clippers in the case. All it is going to take is a little too much tug, or a few months of use, and those things will break right off. Could have at least folded and sewed each piece for more durability. Pretty disappointed about this... but at least the clippers seem to be worth the money.

I was looking for a portable grooming set that had at a minimum a quality nail clipper, file, and tweezers for a family member. There were many choices on Amazon, but few matched my needs. There were super cheap sets that had everything I wanted but some of the reviewers claimed the quality was suspect. Other sets were lacking the tweezers or had only the clippers.This set was just right, although a bit pricier than some of the other sets. However, a few extra dollars for quality is fine by me. I like the thick lever mechanism on the nail clippers they are strong and include a nail file on the underside.The recipient of this set claims the clippers work great and is happy with them.

I tried the cuticle trimmer right away. It's awesome! Only a few things are worse than having a ragged cuticle that keeps getting snagged on things causing pain. And no, I'm not being sarcastic. This is nice and sharp, easy to use. The tweezers were able to get fine hairs relatively easily. I haven't used the toenail clipper yet but the fingernail clipper was easy to use.The case that comes with it is compact, making it perfect for travel. It'll keep the tools organized while keeping them sharp.

Although the clippers are well made, the carrying case is not. The strap intended to hold the nipper in place is very lightly made and poorly connected to the case. It broke almost immediately.

I had to use this set for a few weeks to fully appreciate that:the tweezers and nail clippers are very well-made* with good materials;the overall kit is attractive and nicely madeI plan to purchase a few more of these for easy "stocking-stuffer"-type gifts*the clippers are sharp and sturdy . . . and cleanly cut my fingernails and my cats' claws (without crushing them).SO MUCH BETTER than the $1.29 items by the cash register at CVS/Walgreens/etc.

This set is the best that I have seen. It heavier gauge steel than most, high polished through out. The craftsmanship and workmanship are great. When you turn the "thumb handle" around to start clipping you'll discover a rectangular inlaid file (diamond file I believe) under the handle of both clippers. The tweezers I noticed are also much heavier than usual and well made as is the nail nipper. The case is the same quality. Wonderful set!
