Read all first ten...this good but....
Good but I noticed a lot more foul language. This doesn't allow me to let my grandkids read it. I also noticed a lot more women's lib BS. From Mel character that wasn't needed. If a woman needs to be told she is equal in all ways all the time she's not. They are different and compliment men..not he-women...not needed.

A difficult read
The story line is very good, that’s the only thing that made me finish the book. There are a lot of misspellings, grammatical and continuity errors in this book. A character killed in book 7 was brought back to life for this book as though it had never happened! The previous books had errors also, but this was particularly bad-it was a struggle to finish it.I hope the author employs a 3rd party editor for the remaining sequels, although there’s no way to fix that gaping plot hole.

Great to see the gang again!
It's so great to see Morgan and Sarge and the gang. It was so much like visiting with family/friends that you've not seen in awhile and he time drops away as you start reading and you are back in he neighborhood and with the group. Good story developing and kept me at it all day. I did cheat and used the text to talk so my kindle could read it to me as I was working. And the ending I need 12 now. If you like the others and the Morgan group, you'll feel at home with this and I highly recommend it. Like the other 10, I'll be rereading and relistening to this one a lot.

Multi storyline cliffhangers
No clear ending. Yes, I understand this is an ongoing series, but…. The cliffhangers this time were mean. If books 11 and 12 were a month apart, it would be amusing. These type cliffhangers… not cool.Book needs a better editor. Many, many typos.I just didn’t enjoy this book. Unfinished in storyline and quality.

Bad editing
Just finished the book. The person or persons who did the editing should be sent back to grammar school. Missed words and run on sentences and broken quotations, to say the least. Organization also sloppy in some places. You can glean the basic storyline, but the bad grammar makes it hard in places.

Love this series, but this one feels rushed...
I love the Surviving Home series and was excited when this one popped up. As I'm reading I noticed an exorbitant amount of misspellings and grammatical errors (at least in the Kindle edition). You would think that those issues would have been ironed out prior to publishing. Am I going to continue to read this series, absolutely.

Great to see the story continue!
I have been a fan of A. American since the first book. Like all I've been eagerly awaiting this next book, and he does not disappoint with this one! It is great to see how the characters keep developing and their back stories get fleshed out. We've learned more about many of the characters, especially Mel and Dalton! This book seems like it's sitting down with old friends and catching up with what's happening in their world. There's a bit of a cliffhanger to add to the excitement of what will be coming next. Keep up the good work Boss!

Morgan's back!
I have been anxiously waiting for the return of Morgan, Dalton and Sarge, and the rest of the group, as they continue to make a safer respite for the families from the war ravaged country that continues to decline around them. I can't wait until the next book in the series.

Odd.
Seems like a different timeline of events with some characters back from the dead and others just plain missing, but it's a decent yarn even if shorter than usual.

Worth the wait
I’ve waited what seems like an entire lifetime for the continuation of this series, I was not disappointed. It’s a great series that drags you in and won’t let go. Bring on the next chapter.

Continuity dreadful
I’ve read all in the series, all the way through the story has changed but it’s only been small things. Unfortunately in this one it’s like the author hasn’t read the last 3 books! I’ve given it a 2 because of that - if you can ignore the mistakes it would be a 4.Ps if you want a proof reader give me a shout - I’ll still be buying the next!

I've read them all so far
Good story line but I have only a short time to live. I would have liked it to have an ending.

Good to be back, but I needed more!
This book is a great read. Being back with Morgan and the crew is really refreshing.Having different parts of the ongoings told within one chapter helps make their journey feel more alive. I kept expecting an ambush during these sections of the book, but was pleasantly surprised that this was just the ongoings of the group.Having the interaction with the inevitable be postponed to the next book was a letdown. I understand having it in this book would make the story feel rushed. This part of Morgan and his groups journey is a good "slow" period in which charters are flushed out and the foundation for their future is going to be built upon.I'm looking forward to reading all of what's to come!
