The jar is oblong with a metal lid. It is 5 1/2 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches wide. The outside of the glass Jar is painted to resemble Cookie Monster's head. It is blue with intentional brush strokes to imply hair. He also has slightly crossed round wooden eyes. Through the mouth window you can see a waving Cookie Monster figurine with a backdrop banner that reads I love Cookie and "Your Child's Name" !!! illuminated by a (3 AAA) battery operated LED push light fastened inside the jar lid.
