A personable and informative treatise on a very difficult topic.
Normally, being male I would not be interested in reading a book that is very focused on a female audience. However , inasmuch as this is a subject that has affected many couples I know over the years, I read Ms. Fischer's book and was impressed. It is a very clear and personable approach to the mind-boggling logistics and cost of finding a way to balance a professional life (as a woman) without facing a childless future by working through your most fertile years. Freezing your eggs is just the end result. Ms. Fischer takes the reader on a journey through what is a biologically and financially draining experience, and most importantly, touches on the emotional challenges as well. Women who read this book will be left with a very clear guide to the entire process of preserving their eggs for the future, as well as the unvarnished assessment of the effect of this journey can have on their body, and their mind. Any man who reads it will be left with great respect for women who make this decision.

A Timely Guidebook for Young Professionals
Agnes does a masterful job of translating a little known subject into everyday facts and speak. The books reads more as a how-to-manual, making it easy to read and relevant for anybody struggling to balance wanting kids and work (or hoping to one day balance it). And this isn't just for the ladies - it's an important book for men looking to support their partners and understand the challenges of fertility.

Reading this book is like chatting to a close friend
Reading this book is like chatting to a close friend. Women should be made aware of these topics in the same breath that they are informed about puberty and female reproduction. Currently, there is way too much shame involved in discussing infertility and that needs to end. Loved this book

Refreshingly honest and real!
"Eggs Unscrambled" tells you everything you need to know about the facts and realities of egg freezing and fertility, in a relatable way. Agnes' honesty about her own journey helps break down an overly complicated, sensitive topic that is not talked about enough -- especially with women in their 20s and early 30s. I only wish this book came out years ago!

Must read
Description: The book is a self-described 'girlfriend's guide to everything you need to know about your reproductive years' but it's more than that. It's Agnes' personal journey through fertility treatments during marriage and egg freezing after divorce, an educational guide to reproductive facts, a raw look at the egg freezing industry, and more. This is a must read for anyone considering egg freezing or wants to learn more about the process. Agnes goes through the history of egg freezing from the first baby born in 1986 to ASRM's lift of the experimental label for the egg freezing technology which opened the flood gates for clinics to offer the service. She walks through the emotional impact of deciding to freeze eggs, she gives lists of pros and cons of options including being a single mom (turns out there are more pros). She sheds light on the limitations of egg freezing and the fact that although this is a hot topic and empowering option for women, that women freezing eggs now are trailblazers and we will not truly know success rates until this egg freezing generation comes back to use them. She sheds light on the negative side of egg freezing - the business aspect of it and the egg freezing brokers and IVF clinics who benefit from women freezing eggs. She empowers women to learn more about their options and gives solid tips like the importance of finding a clinic with experience in not only freezing eggs but warming, fertilizing, and successful live births with frozen eggs.

Excellent book to help de-mystify the 'egg freezing' process
I thought this book was great easy read - liked her light-hearted tone on a topic that is very personal. She does an excellent job in de-mystifying the 'egg freezing' process, which for many of us we have had little to no education on (which needs to change, and this book helps). I found it comforting to read about other female experiences (e.g having doctors make you feel awkward/embarrassed for wanting to find out about your fertility), as well as how the process went for them. Agnes froze 28 eggs in one cycle, which I believe is quite uncommon, so good to hear about how other females went and their experiences after the procedure. She raised good questions for females to think about i.e would you consider having kids by yourself if don't find a partner? Which for me, I don't know the answer, but are good questions to be pondering in the background. Given I have no other friends that has done this procedure, the book has been insightful and helpful before embarking on the whole process.

Amazing book with insightful fertility details for women of any age.
Great book! This book was so informative and helpful. I liked the sincerity of the author. It feels very authentic to read this book much like you would be talking to a knowledgeable friend. The desire to pass on the information to help others is very evident. Easy to understand, with surprising insights on the fertility process. Perfect if you are looking to make changes in your everyday life to help with fertility or just to receive information about how things we use every day affect us in some way. We need to plan our fertility like we do our careers and finances.
