The Fabriano 1264 is 0% Cotton (100% Alpha Cellulose). For a 100% Cotton Watercolor paper, we would recommend Fabriano Artistico.

Q: How does this compare with the Fabriano Artistica 100% Cotton watercolor paper?

It compares VERY poorly! Night and day! Stick with the 100% cotton if you can possibly afford it. If you want a cheaper paper for practice, go with the Fabriano 'Fat Pad' which is 50% cotton, it's very good! Or go with the 1264 that's in the PAD form, it's not the same as the 1264 that's in the spiral notebook, the quality of the 1264 in the pad is better.
