Merrell Women's Violotta Sandal

I love Merrell and I own 2 of their sandals that are still comfy and good looking as they were 8yrs ago when I bought them. But it seems that all the products (not just Merrell) made in last 5 years are worst quality then before. See my other reviews for 6 different sandals and none of them fit properly.I ordered Teva, Columbia and Merrel and I have to say that Merrel were the closest to perfect. But, alas, the fit is too tight and short. They look lighter and less bulky then Tevas and could be worn with a nice skirt, but the strap across the middle of the foot is too low and was digging in after just a 20 minute walk around the house. I have normal, slim feet, but I could see that this would be a huge problem after a long hot and humid day. The strap is not adjustable, so there is no way to keep them.I like that underfoot is suede like, not plastic like some others, so the foot doesn't move around. The arch and ball of the foot support is very comfortable and it gives you a very good stability while walking. But , like with other sandals, the toe ridge is too far back and it was bothering me.Very good feature: The back strap can be removed to make it into slip-on , I wish other sandal makers would learn from Merrell.I am so sorry I have to return these. I tried them on several times trying to convince myself to keep them, but they are just too tight.

I love Merrell shoes. Have been buying them for over 20 years. The sad thing about Merrell (and most other companies) the quality has diminished over the years. On some styles the soles are not as thick or comfortable like their earlier styles. I bought another style of sandals that I can't wear for a long period because they fatigue the feet, you can feel every pebble or stone. I use to rely on their quality but now I have to be careful with them too.However, these sandals remind me the of old Merrell quality. The foot bed is comfortable and the soles are thick enough that you don't feel the ground you are walking on. They are not too bulky looking either. I bought 5 pairs when they were on sale because I know when I go through them I won't be able to find them again because the company always stops making the shoes that I love. This time I have a stash that will last me for a long time.

I bought these on the good review of another customer but the shoe is made for people who have shorter toes and wider feet than I have. I have been a buyer of TEVA for many years and find their sizing better for my feet which are longer and slimmer than the average foot. I usually wear an 8 in TEVA but I found the toe box in Merrell size 8 too short. I re-ordered a 9 but it is way too wide.I would like to add that I will NOT be returning these sandals because the cost would be too high from Canada...probably around 35 dollars so the cost is not worth it for me.I am, however, still very happy with the service at Amazon.com.

Merrell sandals have been well reviewed by many, and I'll simply add my own enthusiasm. I bought these when the previous pair I'd been wearing (and bought in a store) were finally so dirty I felt bad to be seen in them. But I'd worn them at least 7 years, and had NEVER had a pair of sandals that were so comfortable and had such good support. I could wear them all day and be sorry to take them off. It took me a couple tries to find the right style to replace them over the Internet, but I found quickly that the only shoes I wanted were Merrells and I settled on these, and haven't been sorry. The support is excellent, the fit is perfect. The wrap around the ankle works, but is time consuming to put on. A small complaint, and my only one. I love Merrell shoes!

I am fully satisfied, I LOVE my shoes. Very very confortable. I use it at my work place and i usually "run up and down" and I never have any pain or disconfort thanks to this great sandals. I have very little foot size and i was really happy when the sandals fitted perfectly to my feet (size 5). It is white in color so it really fits to my white coat (i am a doc).Someone wrote in the previous reviews that her sandals were bad quality and one of the sandals was defective so I was a bit afraid that what if the same experience I will, but the shoes are in good quality, no defect, first class sandals!!!. So i really recommend to buy this.Best shoe ever and from now on i only buy merrells, and from amazon.

First ....Peltz Shoes shpped the same day I ordered it. I order lots from Amazon and most sellers wait three or four days before they even ship. I just do not understand this, but not Peltz. Peltz has great customer service (i have called them before) and fast fast shipping. Also most merrell runs 1/2 small so I already knew to size up. I do have narrow feet and a high arch and I just pull the strap tighter and I was able to wear these. I think Merrell has the most comfortable shoe for my narrow foot. I will bu another pair in different color for next summer. Also I would highly recommend Peltz shoes to order from.

This is my favorite pair of hiking/walking sandals. I liked them so much that I needed to buy a second pair after my puppy chewed the elastic strap and decorative braid. They proved both comfortable and supportive as a stylish alternative to flip-flops or tennis shoes on my recent Mediterranean cruise which required a lot of walking on daily shore excursions. I also have a problem with my feet sweating in warm weather so these were perfectly breathable! I usually don't spend so much on shoes, but now that I am over 50 I need the additional foot support of a high quality shoe.

One reviewer said that the ball of the foot part of the shoe was too wide and I immediately decided to buy them. The front of my foot is usually too wide for most shoes, but these have been perfect. They are so comfortable that I now have three pairs. If they made a pure white pair, I'd buy it also.I have found that I can trust Merrell shoes to be a good quality and an excellent fit. I wear a size 5 and have high arches that need good support. These are some of the best fitting sandals I have found. Sandals are not known for their arch support, so if you need support in your sandals, I would try Merrell.

I used these to go to a family wedding in Tanzania. They are comfortable and easy to wear. I bought them so that I could use them on the beach in the sea and walking around the towns as an everyday sandal. They have no protection for the toes so I also had to take others for the harder walking places but they dry out so quickly they are brilliant for areas where i didn't need to protect the whole foot.

These sandals are both comfortable and stylish. As usual the Merrell high quality design means all day comfort is guaranteed. I have foot problems and normally wear orthotic inserts which is difficult with sandals. But these are comfortable without any inserts and I have used them all day without problems.

Was looking for sandals for a cruise holiday (lots of walking on tours) so I googled 'walking sandals', the Merrell brand kept appearing & reviews were great so I bought a pair & was not disappointed. You could walk for miles in these, they are so comfortable and they look quite good too.

I buy Merrell sandals every summer and thought these would be the usual fit. They are a different shape at the front from those with the tightening strap so I should have been aware. It wasn't until I wore them I realised they were less comfortable, just a bit slack and not as nice on.

Good product, good price and excellent delivery. Why shop elsewhere?, This sandal, purchased for my wife, was the only one I could find that gave the excellent support for the foot yet still looked fashionable - highly recommended product and supplier.

A good shoe. The plastic link on the straps broke so I replaced it with a keyring ring which works better! Other than that, I have worn the shoes every summer for nearly three years and they are still going!

Took a risk buying without trying but other customers recommendations suggested they would be okay. They feel comfortable and fit as expected.

Not 'pretty' , but comfy and practical across the field on the school run! WHEN the summer comes, I'll be wearing them every day, with jeans or shorts, they're fine.

Only reason for not giving 5 stars is the plaited rope decoration has no flexibility and digs in slightly but overall typical comfy Merrell sandals!

I have bought several pairs of these Merrell shoes. I am able to ditch my prescribed ortho. inserts and wear these as they have such good support. I am a BIG fan.

These sandals are the best ever,they are so very light you really can not tell you have them on your feel. I can walk for miles in themthey are so comfortable well worth the money and the size was just right,speedy delivery too!!

I bought these fir my Mum, she loves them. Very comfortable, withstood walking around the shops all day.Merrill are expensive but worth the money.

Extremely comfortable walking sandal. Perfect fit for me but if you need a wide fitting sandals these are not for you

These are well made and very comfortable. They look acceptable either as a sporty sandal or with skirt for out and about.

These sandals are just the right size and seem very comfortable. They are quite stylish and I am looking forward to the Summer.
