We love Renew Life products in our house, and I've been giving the hard chewable probiotics to my child for awhile! These are a new product, that I was excited to try! Pros and Cons~ Pros - 1. These are yummy. My kiddo didn't have any complaints about taking them. Neither did I ;) 2. These gummyies are soft, not chewy at all. My big kid with braces can even eat these and we weren't worried about him breaking a bracket or anything. Of course, test them yourself and even check with your child's dentist/ortho before giving them, but for us they are good. 3. These contain inulin from chicory root. This is a prebiotic fiber, which is known for sometimes helping bowel movements. While taking these, things seemed to flow well for my kids, which isn't always the case, so I really appreciated that! 4. The brand. Renew Life is a brand I know and trust. Minor Cons- 1. There is a limited number of probiotics. However, although limited, these seemed to have value and still provided gut support. I tried looking up what is a good amount of probiotics for kids, and it was a hard value to pin down. Most sites seemed to say that 1 billion would be enough. 2. These are for ages 4 and up. I understand why, as some gummy vitamins can be choking hazards, but to me this seems to be a similar consistency to toddler gummy vitamins (ie, soft, not really chewy). Better to be safe than sorry, though. Overall, my cons list is very minor. I wish that there were more CFU in these; however, I honestly don't know what amount of CFU is the best. Is 10 billion CFU really better than 1 billion CFU in a probiotic for kids? I have no idea. I like this brand and the vitamins did seem to help my family, so I would recommend them for anyone looking for a gummy probiotic for ages 4 and up.

So far so good! Two of my toddler age grandchildren gobbled their gummy up as if it were a fruit snack. The three year old grandson put it in his mouth and thought about it for a second or two and wanted to spit it out but I convinced him to go ahead and eat it. The other two grandchildren wanted seconds! These are very soft and fresh and do have the texture of a typical gummy snack that kids eat. I trust this product name brand so I was happy to order these for the kids. Because they do like them, I will indeed purchase again because pre and probiotics are so important to gut health!
