Learn to Knit on Circle Looms Paperback – March 1, 2006

Useful and great quality

I am a beginner with the circle looms. I've never done traditional knitting so this is all new to me but I am pretty good at learning things from books. This book has some cute patterns but it is not for someone looking to learn how to loom knit. I'm glad I had already found some websites that explained how to loom knit.The book is confusing. What it calls the "knit stitch" is what most people call "e-wrap". Then it introduces the term "stockinette stitch" without explaining. I think it is referring to their "knit stitch", which other people call the "twisted stockinette stitch". The instructional photos are hard to see. The patterns say "Be sure to check gauge" but never explains how to do that. There's also mention of a Chain stitch which I do not understand. As others have mentioned the patterns are not in order from easiest to hardest but it doesn't take much effort to look through the 10 projects.The patterns include 2 hats, 2 scarves, a purse, a pair of thick socks, a poncho/shawl, baby blanket and afghan. The patterns use #4 or #5 weight yarn. They refer to the color of the Knifty Knitter brand looms. If you have another brand, like I do, just know the peg count of each of your looms.One pattern (a hat) says "Instructions are given for smallest size, with larger size in parentheses" but this is not so. From what I can tell the pattern instructions are actually telling you how to make an adult size hat and not the youth hat.If you get it for the patterns, just be prepared to go online if you are new to loom knitting.

I like this book. The only thing is it really didn't have in it what I was looking for. I'm looking for a simple loom sock pattern and everything I'm finding is for fancy socks or slippers. Although there are some other good patterns in the book that I can use.

Nice book with lots of pictures to show you step by step how to do things with your round loom. I like the sock pattern & bangle bags. My next projects will be the baby blanket & the ponchette. Thanks for this very good book!

I started this new hobby learning how to knit on a loom. I have looms of all sizes and shapes, especially a Figure 8 Loom that I purchased from this man on ebay, and needed to learn the right way of looming! This book is very very good, but believe me I had to study with it to get my stitches right. I thought I had it right - but it was completely wrong. The book has great projects !

This is a great book to give when someone is just starting out. It has blanket , scarf's and hat's patterns so it's not all the same thing.

Exactly what I wanted. My mom is 92 and I was looking for something she could do with her arthritic hands to keep her busy. We are making premie and baby hats for next Christmas for our local hospital 😍

Ordered to have a go at loom knitting. The set is great, with 4 good sized looms. Pom pom makers are really easy to use.On my 10th hat and counting! Have recommended to friends who have also purchased this set.

I purchased these as part of a new hobby. I was very pleased how simply it was to learn how to use the hoops.I hav spent many hours in the evening watching TV and using the looms to make socks for my friends children as they seem to go through theirs so quick, and it is cheeper.it arrived well wrapped and easy to open.Anyone looking for a new hobby? Why not try this.. I was pleased that I gave it a try.
