This piece is almost entirely satin stitches which were very easy for beginners.

The colors are beautiful.

This is a beautiful finished piece. However, the cloth did make it difficult to work. Holes tended to appear as I embroidered. I didn’t give up and tried to repair and cover up bad places as I went along. It is a good piece to work though. Beautiful results.

Crewel embroidery uses wool yarn. Not the cotton yarn this kit comes with.Don’t buy this if you’re expecting wool yarn.

Still in my TODO queue. Over the years the Dimension Kits have improved; now they sort the floss and effectively label the colors with the numbers. I have learned to redesign the pattern and use 3/4 and 1/4 stitches to smooth the edges. It makes a noticeable difference even with backstitching. I have found that Dimension kits look good and take relatively little time. I found a Dimension floss to the nearest DMC color conversion chart on the internet since I often prefer not to use the included floss. BTW; despite their claims, they do not provide additional floss if needed. Unfortunately I found out the hard way and spend days trying to find a working address for Dimension. After many Google searches, I finally found a p.o box and sent them a sample of the colors I'd run out of (a result of a sorting error.) That was several months ago but have not received a reply. Another reason to convert to DMC; on a test project I found the DMC substitute as good as, or better, than the original done with Dimension floss.

be hold beginners,it NOT easy

this was ordered as a Crewel embroidery kit. Item received was nice but NOT crewel embroidery. Crewel embroidery is a wool thread very different from the silk thread used in this kit. As i absolutely HATE silk embroidery, i am stuck with a kit i will never use.

I have not started this project but from the supplies included, I know it will be beautiful.

Another great cross stitch kit from Dimensions. Pale green Aida looks lovely & will be good to stitch on. There are 27 different shades in this so should as usual turn out to be another wonderful Dimensions cross stitch creation..Whether big or small Dimensions cross stitch projects always make beautiful pictures.Edit: Just started this. Fabric bit stiff, not as good as it usually is. Will use it as pretty shade of green. Needle appears thick but read instructions. French knots done with 4 or 6 threads on butterflies so needs thicker needle. Coloured threads very are in very pretty shades so should be as great as others Dimensions pictures.Done quite a lot & colours are a bit brighter than on screen but not startling bright but very beautiful. I am pleased I bought this kit.

It’s been enjoyable stitching with this kit. I’m halfway finished. It’s small, brightly coloured and will make a nice gift. I plan to stitch my sisters name on the tea pot when completed for a more personal touch.

As always this is typical of the small needlework kits. Very easy to stitch and lovely colours.Makes a nice change from cross stitch.
