Veggie Bouillon Cube 2.82 OZ(Pack of 4)

This bouillon makes soups and rice so tasty. The ingredients may not be the healthiest but it’s good when I don’t have time to make my own broth.

Even though price has gone up, it still a bargain.

These are great veggie broth cubes. While they do contain MSG, they are great for making soups, or adding extra flavor to weak stocks. Unfortunately Amazon is the only place I can find them now - none of my markets sell them anymore.

This is my favorite veggie bouillon! I can't find it in any local stores anymore.

Feels weird to review a bouillon cube, but this one deserves it. I’m vegan and I like my food with a kick, so I’ve been experimenting, especially with jollof rice, which is basically party food in a pot. I used to just grab whatever bouillon I could find at the store. My jollof came out good, but not amazing. Then I found out Maggi had a veggie option. A lot of African folks swear by the chicken and beef ones, so I figured I’d try this version. And yep, there’s a real difference. I’ve only used it for jollof and chili beans so far, but both came out next level. Strong recommend, especially if you want that deep flavor without animal products.

The flavor is pleasant enough, though not very strong. But the cubes are teeny-tiny and individually wrapped. They almost always crumble when unwrapping and if you need a lot, you're going to be picking at the teeny-tiny wrappers for a while.

Maggi veggie cubes. They make food taste better.

I will buy these bouillon cubes anytime, regardless of price (I think). Much more expensive in the US than when purchased in Europe at the grocery store, but the flavor (and fact that these are vegan) is outstanding, so it makes them worth it to me.
