ok, there is a god!I hate to run the two wire combo for cameras. It's expensive stuff, and if you are not careful, you can damage the video cable (if you are running cameras, you need to run a video cable and power cable and said two cables come as a single siamese. Very expensive. Instead of running this, with these baluns, you can now run ordinary cat 5e with these terminated at each end: simple, cheap, easy to run. One of the devices goes to the camera, the other one goes to the DVR and the 24 volt power panel....couldn't be easier.

I did not believe that this would work but still took a chance... I'm glad I did!!! I already had Ethernet cable in place (two different categories, 5 and 6) connected with a coupler. I connected this VIMVIP video adapter and magic happened... saved me about 3-4 hours of cable installation all around. The video quality is a bit different (still acceptable) than the standard video camera cable but that could just be the camera and not this adapter. Would I buy again? absolutely!!!

Worked great. Opted for these for a new 80ft run, just incase I upgrade to IP/PoE in the future. A little weak on the connecting cabling, but it has held up. It also slightly improved the image quality.

I have used these before however as soon as I plugged it in and turned power back on to system it took all my cameras out. I suspect internal wires are wrong and it took out my power supply to my unit. I replaced power supply $12 and all was ok.Update !! I have purchased about 12 of these sets over the last 2 years all were good I guess I got one bad one not the sellers fault. I was quickly taken care of by seller and all is well.

Does not work. Piece of junk. They must have had a machine get the 5 star ratings to 61. This is not a balun. It wires video directly to the RJ45 pins!!!!!! Cheap price, but wastes your time doing an install. Best way to tell... put a DVM on the video signal line, see if it is wired directly to pin 1 or pin 2. If so, it's a junk product. it is NOT a "balun". It can not even drive a T568A 3 ft. patch cable on the RJ45 side!

This comes In handy basicly replaces those long rolls of BNC cable and makes it possible for you to use cat5 cables. This works perfect and good bang for the buck
