APIKA Chinese Traditional Old Beijing Shoes — Comfortable and Stylish
I recently purchased these APIKA Old Beijing Shoes and have been pleasantly surprised by their comfort and design. The canvas upper is breathable, making them suitable for extended wear, while the sole provides good traction. They're easy to slip on and off, adding to their convenience. Whether you're practicing martial arts like Kung Fu or Tai Chi, or simply looking for a comfortable everyday shoe, these fit the bill. Plus, they offer a touch of traditional Chinese style that's both unique and fashionable.

Comfortable and Durable
Light weight, flexible. The quality is above expectations. They're comfortable and support the whole foot. From what I can tell, they are also slip-resistant.

Disappointing fit
I ordered these shoes for kicking a punching bag outdoors in my driveway. They would work well for that purpose, if the fit was a bit better. I ordered size 41, which is my correct size (US women's 9.5 wide, US men's 7.5). I know size 41 is my correct size because I have other pairs of shoes in this size which fit well. I would like these shoes very well, except that the fit is not quite right. Both shoes are printed with size 41, but the left is a little too big, and the right is a little too small. The shoes appear to be the same size, so I think the fit is due to the way the upper is stitched onto the sole, and how much space was left at the edge. I was disappointed because otherwise, these are very nice martial arts shoes. They have that nice "brand new sneaker" smell when they come out of the package. They shipped from China in 9 days (free shipping for Prime members). The price was good ($15). They come bagged up in a cute plastic wrapper with Chinese writing on it. I have already worn these shoes and gotten dirt on them, so I will keep them and use them for something (maybe slippers, or basement shoes, because I have a damp basement and can't wear regular slippers down there to do the laundry). I will try them out on the punching bag, but I think because of the right shoe being a little too tight, they will not be comfortable for a long workout. The other shoes I have in size 41 are all either a good fit, or a little too loose. I can't really explain why this one is a little tight, unless it is the stitching or the size label is wrong. I wanted to give these shoes a good review, but unfortunately I got a pair that was not quite right.

Product page lists sizing incorrectly
Shoes are great, but the product page of EVERY item of this kind is incorrect! As an example, the sizing reads "US Men 7/US Women 8.5" It's listed backwards! It should read "US Men 8.5/US Women 7".

Ordered gift for Mother. Shoes were way too big
I ordered a pair of these shoes as a gift for my mother. I chose the "10.5 Women/9.5 Men" size, as my mother has always worn size 10.5 U.S. Women's shoes. She said they were WAY too big to wear without injuring herself. The order stated what was shipped was: "APIKA Chinese Traditional Old Beijing Shoes Kung Fu Tai Chi Shoes Rubber Sole Unisex Black (CHN43 (US:Men 9.5/Women 10.5))". She told me the shoes said "43". Obviously, she got what I ordered, but the sizes don't match between what's listed and the actual size of the shoes.Looking online for an accurate shoe size comparison chart between China, US, and even Europe just made me more confused, as not a single comparison chart/table that I found had the same numbers.I wish they sold them locally (to her), so she could try them on first, so besides requesting a refund, I'm not sure what to do. She needs shoes, and this style is the only type she wears now. I guess I'll have to randomly order close sizes from others and keep what fits her. No "Prime Wardrobe" options for these. Also, they came loose in the Amazon box with the other items I ordered. Not even in their own bag/box according to my mother.

Runs small
I ordered times three before ending up with a pair that fits. I usually wear a 9 1/2 to 10 shoe. It took moving up to an 11 before this was long enough to fit without making my big toe hurt. So, be careful about the size. Otherwise, now that I have a size 11, I'm happy with the shoe.
