2017 version superior to 2018 version
I purchased a 24 count set of these in Feb 2017 and a 50 count set in July 2018. Sadly, these have definitely been reformulated and are not the pencils I enjoyed from last year. The cores in both versions are a bit inconsistent, but only two of the browns were harder and scratchier in the 2017 set. In the 2018 set, the core consistency, laydown and pigment strength vary widely between pencils. Few are the creamy, pigmented cores of the older set. The numbers and color names are different between 2017 and 2018. The older, smoother, more pigmented set did crumble a bit with use. Many of the color names shared between sets are drastically different colors. The newer 50 count set does have a wider selection. They do hold a point better than the older set. They have an odd laydown, possibly because of the higher level of filler. The cost of just over $7 for 50 pencils is very reasonable, but, unfortunately, the pencils are lower quality to match the lower price.Overall, I loved the 2017 version of these pencils and would happily pay more to have those back, as long as the price was reasonable. I'm including a color chart comparison and a photo of pencils labelled the same color with very different actual colors, to show one example of that.

These are terrible.
These pencils are very hard, and I can't get much pigment color from them. I bought a set of 24 a few months ago and they were beautiful. They had very good pigment and were much softer lead. They also had different numbers for the same pencil color name. Obviously they have changed their production. I hate them and will give away.

These are the BEST colored pencils our family used in a long time!
My family recently takes coloring as our new hobby, and we all love Pluqis pencils. They sharpen well with my manual sharpener and the leads don't break off at the tip. We especially love the color names on the pencils; really helpful! They color smoothly and we would definitely recommend these pencils for anyone who likes to color with pencils.

Last way longer and are way cheaper than prismas
Great quality for unbeatable price! They're just right.. great workable and blendable color with perfect amount of softness in core color. Only thing I don't like is that the label color of almost every pencil is like so off from what the actual color is.. so you just have to scribble on something else first to make sure that it's the color you're wanting bc you really can't go by their color labels on pencils. Really good selection of different colors in the 50pc set. Will definitely be buying these from now on instead of prisma. Quality is the same in how they write/color except pluqis are WAY cheaper and last WAY longer too! theses are definitely the best ones/brand that I've tried so far. Great product over all

Strong odor
I have been unable to use these pencils because of the odor. I received them for Christmas and took them out of the tin and put them outside to air out but it hasn’t helped

Love the pencils
Love the pencils. They feel good in my hand. I don't feel the need to hold them in a death grip. The colors go on smoothly. I just wish there were a couple different colors. Blending is sometimes needed to get the color needed or I have to hunt through old pencils to find what I'm looking for.

Wouldn't recommend
These pencils were a bit of a mixed bag, some went on really well, others were a bit fu abd lacking pigment. For the price one can't expect much but I think Crayola and Prang are better pencils and they cost about the same if not less.

Not premium but excellent for the price
I just got these today, very pleased with the packaging (nice tin can with sturdy plastic trays). I did a test of all the pencils and for a $7 tin of pencils, these are great. Very vibrant colors with little pressure and few layers. A few chipped tips (not a huge deal) and some of the color names don't seem to fit the color it lays down but that's remedied with creating a color chart. I would definitely buy them again. (not as soft as a Prisma, but more vibrant and higher quality than a Crayola)
